However, for all we know about them, there may be things that happened in their lives or careers that remain comparatively unknown to some.

What things happened in their careers that fans may not be aware of? How many of these things did you know? Feel free to comment and share below. Here are five things you didn't know about the WWE Hall of Fame class 2018.

When the announcement that former Intercontinental champion Jeff Jarrett was to enter the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame, it was met with some surprise. The surprise was due to how he departed the company, and that he was terminated rather than being invited to rejoin WWE when it purchased WCW.

During his time with WWE, Jarrett had notable feuds with several WWE Hall of Famers. He also feuded with 2017 WWE Hall of Fame inductee Kurt Angle outside the company. Angle and Jarrett had several memorable matches against one another while they were in TNA together.

The situation could easily be described as personal for both parties. Karen Jarrett, Jeff's wife, was married to Kurt for a number of years before the two divorced in 2008, and the couple had two children together.

While both have moved on that doesn't mean there still aren't tied to one another, thus tying Jarrett to Angle. Jarrett is the stepfather to the two children Kurt had with Karen, In addition to being a father himself to a daughter he had with his late wife Jill in 2007.

#4 Ivory was part of the original airing of GLOW

During her time in the ring, Ivory was great at being bad. She was a heel that didn't hide who she was and played her part perfectly, often reminding everyone else how bad they were and how good she was.

One of the most notable things about Ivory was that she was technically savvy in the ring and helped combine sex appeal with technical prowess, at a time where very few were as capable in the ring as she was. A former women's champion, Ivory would do anything a heel woman could be expected to do in order to keep the title.

What many don't know is that although it was in WWE where she gained notoriety as a prudish part of the 'Right to Censor,' it was on another program that she gained her first break. Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (G.L.O.W.) was a television program in the 1980s, an all-women wrestling promotion.

It has received renewed attention due to the Netflix fictional series based on the promotion that debuted in the last couple of years. Ivory first appeared in the wrestling ring as part of the original G.L.O.W.

Two guys that were about as tough as it gets in the ring that took big bumps and worked seamlessly together as a team, are Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley.

The two men were synonymous with all that was extreme and all that was ECW in the mid-1990s, whether it involved putting someone through a flaming table or tossing them into the crowd. Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley eventually brought their skills to a bigger promotion in WWE.

Over the course of six years, they earned notoriety for their feuds with Edge and Christian and the Hardy Boyz that are still talked about to this day. After leaving WWE in 2005, they spent the better part of nine years in TNA redefining themselves as wrestlers and characters in and out of the ring.

What should be noted about these two tough competitors is that they are also fairly selfless, feeling it was important to give back to the sport they loved. This is evident in the creation of their wrestling school, the Team 3D Academy of Professional Wrestling in Florida.

#2 Goldberg commentated MMA

When he first began in World Championship Wrestling, Goldberg had a very raw quality about him, and his short and explosive matches worked well for him. That intense quality met with great success.

He captured the WCW United States and World Championship and had memorable feuds with the likes of Hollywood Hulk Hogan and the nWo. After WCW closed its doors, Goldberg's contract eventually came to an end and an opportunity presented itself for him to join WWE.

His time in WWE was short-lived, as he came in, captured the WWE championship and then departed the company after Wrestlemania XX. It wasn't until years later when Goldberg would return, and managed to capture the Universal championship.

Many know of his professional football career prior to joining WCW, but what many may not know is that he spent time after leaving WWE the first time around as an MMA colour commentator for the World Fighting Alliance promotion. His in-ring character came to the forefront outside the ring as well.

#1 Hillbilly Jim was first introduced to the WWE as a 'fan'

His time in the ring was always as a fun-loving character that was reflective of the era in wrestling and was popular with the fans at the time. Jim's wholesome persona and character resonated with the WWE audience because he was likable.

Some of his more memorable matches included facing the likes of King Kong Bundy and Big John Studd. While he may not have won a lot, it didn't matter very much. Jim's likable nature and every man style was part of the very family friendly rock n wrestling generation.

He competed at Wrestlemania, and was most recently seen in 2014 as part of the WWE network program 'Legends' House.' Through that program, fans got to see that Jim was as easy-going outside the ring as he was inside it.

There had to be more to why he resonated with fans like he did, and perhaps it was because he debuted as one of them. Hillbilly Jim made his debut in the WWF at the time when Hulk Hogan took this 'fan' out of the crowd and began to train him.
