A 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series match was set for the event, pitting 5 WWE Superstars, and 5 Alliance stars. The Rock, Kane, The Undertaker, Chris Jericho, and Big Show faced Shane McMahon, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Kurt Angle in one of the biggest matches in WWE history, with WWE's future hanging in the balance.
The Rock pinned Stone Cold Steve Austin in the end to pick up the win for McMahon and WWE. The show closed with Vince McMahon appearing on the ramp and raising his hands with an evil smile on his face.

He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
