Ricochet has now debuted on NXT TV tapings that will hopefully be shown on the WWE Network sooner rather than later.

'The Future of Flight' is a major signing for the WWE and really highlights their commitment to having the very best talent in the world be under the WWE umbrella, and opens up a multitude of possibilities for future stories and dream matches.

Whether Ricochet stays in NXT for an extended period of time or makes the jump to the main roster quickly, here is a look at some dream matches for the super talented highflier.

#5 Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio Jr

This should be higher up the list, given the magnitude of a WWE version of Mysterio vs Ricochet, however, Rey was only brought into the WWE at the Royal Rumble for one night only, largely due to the required schedule for Rey to return.

If a compromise can be found between the two parties, we would all be excited for Mysterio to return to our screens on SmackDown or Raw, and almost certainly on 205 Live in some capacity. This is where a feud between Ricochet and Rey would do the most business as well bring many more eyes to the show if done right.

Rey has been a star since the early 90's and Ricochet has been setting the world alight in the last 5-6 years on the Indy scene whilst always holding the WWE as his end destination. A jealous Rey heel character vs a rising high flying star could work really well and showcase just how good they both are.

#4 Seth Rollins

Is it time to leave tag teams and get back to singles for Seth
Is it time to leave tag teams and get back to singles for Seth

Seth has been a mainstay of the upper card in WWE on Raw since he debuted as part of the Shield back in 2012. He is able to work with any size challenger, from Brock Lesner to Finn Balor, and can hang with the best high flyers in the business. If Ricochet were to be debuted quickly on the main roster, someone like Seth would be ideal to showcase his talent, whilst giving him a big name to work with.

Rollins is one of the best in-ring performers in the WWE and the world today and has perhaps become hampered slightly with his tag-team position, so this would be a great return to showing everyone what he could really do.

#3 Andrade Cien Almas

The current NXT champion Cien Almas

Almas is the NXT Champion for a very good reason; He is amazing in the ring and his character lends its self wonderfully to that of an arrogant champion. Ricochet is debuting in NXT and will soon find himself up against the likes of Adam Cole, Aleister Black, Kassius Ohno and Velveteen Dream. The man sitting atop that mountain forever is Almas and Ricochet will be aiming for the top straight away.

With Johnny Gargano now seemingly back to his feud with Ciampa and then possibly moving up the main roster, NXT will need an underdog babyface to finally make a big time and win the NXT championship like Sami Zayn. Ricochet could be that guy and would have wonderful matches with the former Luchadore from CMLL.

#2 Finn Balor

Finn is an obvious choice for Ricochet to battle once hitting the WWE main roster. Both were mainstays of the rising independent scene in the later 2010's and then have gone on to have successful careers in Japan, so it would make much sense to have them both match up on Raw or SmackDown.

Stylistically, these two competitors would have a great match, with both being able to land strong moves as well as high flying acrobatics and also have the crowd fully invested in the match due to their marquee names. It is unknown in what capacity Ricochet will be used going forward, but a run with Balor would make for entertaining TV.

#1 Neville

The number one match for Ricochet to truly set the WWE Universe alight is dependent on Neville's contract disputes being worked out with WWE.

Before going on hiatus, Neville was one of the top WWE heels working, and as the 'King of the Cruiserweight's' was making the 205 Live show much more enjoyable to watch. Ricochet is likely to be a top babyface when he makes his debut on 205 Live or Raw / SmackDown and to face a top heel and one of the best in-ring performers in the business would be a massive match for both parties.

This good vs evil feud could really put 205 Live on the map and be extended over multiple months until Ricochet finally overcame the odds and became the WWE Cruiserweight Champion.
