From young talents, to former stars, the WWE could make several additions to its roster in 2019
From young talents, to former stars, the WWE could make several additions to its roster in 2019

For years, the WWE has been the world's premier professional wrestling organization. Ever since WWE head honcho Vince McMahon purchased one of his company's biggest rivals, WCW, on the 23rd of March 2001; the WWE has ruled the pro-wrestling industry with an iron fist.

Although other promotions such as ROH, NJPW, Impact Wrestling as well as the numerous other pro-wrestling companies in the industry try their level best to compete with each other as well as with the WWE; most professional wrestlers aim to work with WWE not only due to the excellent paychecks, but also because of the global fame you earn by performing for the WWE!

The WWE's current roster is undoubtedly stacked with several talented performers, however, since several talents enter and exit the company every year - depending on the circumstances - there is always room for new Superstars in the WWE Universe.

Today, we take a special look at a few non-WWE stars who could sign with the WWE in 2019 - besides also discussing which elite stars a mysterious billionaire has brought in for his new pro-wrestling promotion! (Kindly note: The following discussion will include wrestlers who have previously performed for WWE, as well as performers who have never worked with WWE in the past)...

#5 Scarlett Bordeaux could return and work on a full-time basis with WWE in 2019

Scarlett Bordeaux is no stranger to the WWE
Scarlett Bordeaux is no stranger to the WWE

Scarlett Bordeaux, whose real name is Elizabeth Chihaia, is no stranger to the WWE, as the 27-year-old star has appeared as a part of former WWE Superstar Adam Rose's "Rosebuds". In fact, Bordeaux has confirmed that starting from her first appearance as a Rosebud at the Payback PPV (June 1st, 2014), she has appeared as a part of the group about 15 times!

Well, Adam Rose isn't a part of the WWE anymore, but over the past few years, Bordeaux has gained a tremendous amount of success outside the WWE in promotions such as ROH and Lucha Underground.

Besides, Bordeaux is currently one of the most popular wrestlers in Impact Wrestling, where she's one of the entire company's biggest attractions - "The Smokeshow".

Frankly speaking, as a long-time fan of Bordeaux, considering that her only official match thus far in the WWE is a squash match where she was viciously destroyed by Nia Jax on the December 26th, 2016 episode of Monday Night RAW; it'd be a huge mistake if she doesn't return to WWE and avenge her humiliating loss.

Fortunately for us, Bordeaux is regarded by many as one of the most valuable young performers in the industry today, and the WWE could potentially be looking to sign her in 2019...

#4 John Morrison could return to the WWE and feud with his real-life friend and former Tag Team partner, The Miz

It was back on the November 16th, 2007 episode of SmackDown that the team of John Morrison and The Miz was first formed. The duo are good friends in real life, and performed as a team - winning the World Tag Team Titles as well as the WWE Tag Team Championships, during their run together.

Besides, after working as a team for a couple of years, The Miz attacked Morrison on the April 13th, 2009 episode of RAW. Well, what followed was an intense rivalry between two former best friends turned bitter rivals!

Morrison parted ways with the WWE in 2011, and has been working in several other professional wrestling promotions all over the world over the past few years. He currently performs as Johnny Impact for Impact Wrestling, and is the reigning Impact World Champion.

This man truly is a gifted athlete, as evidenced by his breathtaking parkour skills, and although he continues to wrestle for companies such as Impact Wrestling (as Johnny Impact) and Lucha Underground (Johnny Mundo), it's no secret that he'd be better off returning to the WWE and feuding with his real-life friend, The Miz!

Per the comprehensive analysis of the stars in this discussion of ours, I must note that the chances of WWE hiring Scarlett Bordeaux are better than them bringing in John Morrison - mainly because Morrison has stated that he's pretty satisfied wrestling outside WWE, whereas Bordeaux has often claimed that she'd like to perform for WWE. (PS: One of Scarlett Bordeaux's idols and favourite professional wrestlers is none other than The Miz's wife Maryse! Small world, right?)...

#3 Will Ospreay is professional wrestling's next megastar, and WWE could be eyeing this 25-year-old phenom

Will Ospreay is young, hungry, and one of the greatest pro-wrestling talents on the planet today

They say that charisma and that "X factor" is something you're born with. You can't teach it - you cannot inject it into your body - and you definitely cannot script it!

Born on the 7th of May 1993, Will Ospreay is one of the most gifted in-ring performers in all of professional wrestling today. However, it's not the in-ring aspect that really caught my attention. It's the 25-year-old Englishman's undeniable charisma and great understanding of how to play a character, that truly made me follow the career of this former 2-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion!

Considering the daredevil high-flying moves as well as the perfect promo work that is seen in most of Ospreay's performances, it'd come as no surprise that the WWE could sign this young man to its roster in 2019...

#2 Kenny Omega, and not Cody Rhodes, could join WWE in 2019

Kenny Omega's future remains uncertain, as we approach 2019
Kenny Omega's future remains uncertain, as we approach 2019

Firstly, I'd like to address the ongoing rumours in the professional wrestling community regarding former WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes possibly performing for a new wrestling promotion that is being funded by Pakistani-American billionaire, Shahid Khan.

Per Brad Davis of SeScoops, veteran WWE commentator Jim Ross and WWE legend Chris Jericho are working with their agent Barry Bloom towards starting a new professional wrestling promotion - funded by Khan. The billionaire I've mentioned above, Shahid Khan, is the owner of the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars as well as Fulham FC in the Premier League - and it's being claimed that the new wrestling organization has already gotten Cody, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick) as well as Adam "Hangman" Page on board!

On the other hand, Cody and The Young Bucks' close friend, Kenny Omega, hasn't really made up his mind as to where he wants to head in 2019. Omega, who is the reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion, performed for the WWE's developmental territories in the mid-2000s.

Another thing I'd like to add here for those of you who aren't familiar with Khan, is that the man is filthy rich (I know, I'm "Captain Obvious"!) -- Per Forbes, Shahid Khan's net worth is around $6.9 billion! However, as Omega has time and again said, his primary concern is wrestling and money comes second...Besides, Vince McMahon also happens to be a no stranger to the billionaire club, and could easily make "The Cleaner" an offer he cannot refuse...

#1 Tessa Blanchard could be the next big thing in the WWE Women's Division

Tessa Blanchard could make a huge impact in the WWE in 2019
Tessa Blanchard could make a huge impact in the WWE in 2019

After a recent training session at my local gym, I got into a rather interesting discussion regarding weight-lifting and professional wrestling. I was indeed fascinated to see that so many people, even in this day and age, happen to believe that lifting weights and gaining muscle mass makes your body slow.

Now while that may be true, especially if you're talking about Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler levels of "gains", there are several weight-lifting programs that are designed for athletes in a sport-specific manner. In my humble opinion, Tessa Blanchard is a great example of someone who is absolutely stupendous and disciplined when it comes to weight-lifting and bodybuilding.

Blanchard is only 23-years-old but exhibits a level of mental maturity that's far beyond what you'd expect from a young woman. She has really found her rhythm over the past few months and is the reigning Impact Knockouts Champion. This hard-working young lady is a third generation professional wrestler - whose biological father is Tully Blanchard, grandfather was Joe Blanchard, and stepfather is Magnum T.A.

Tessa has previously performed for the WWE, akin to Scarlett Bordeaux, as a "Rosebud" in 2014; besides also wrestling the likes of Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and Carmella on NXT. Moreover, she has appeared on RAW in a brief segment with Sheamus & Cesaro, apart from also competing in the 2017 edition of the Mae Young Classic tournament.

The WWE could surely have their eye on Tessa Blanchard and honestly speaking, we could probably see both her and Bordeaux take the WWE Women's Division by storm very soon. Furthermore, with the likes of Kenny Omega, John Morrison and Will Ospreay, all being ripe for the picking next year; we are in for a great time in the WWE come 2019.
