The Hardy Boyz relinquished their SmackDown Tag Team Championships after an injury to Jeff Hardy sustained at the hands of Lars Sullivan required surgery.

Breaking Vince Russo and Jim Cornette update HERE.

With the titles lying vacant, it was up to Shane McMahon to announce who would hold the titles, or set up a match between some teams. While the move was very unexpected, Shane still went on to set up a match between The Usos and the team of Bryan and Rowan for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

Rowan picked up the win for his heel team, and thus we now have brand new SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
