5 ways WWE can make Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar more enticing for fans

Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar,
Will WWE be able to get fans excited about Reigns vs Lesnar at WrestleMania 34?

How will WWE pull this one off?

That is the question on the WWE Universe's mind about the Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar match at WrestleMania and while WWE has done a great job so far with building up the storyline, one has to wonder if it will be enough to entice the fans into actually caring about it.

Of course, a major reason the fans don't seem to care about the match has to do with Roman Reigns being pushed down fans' throats over the last couple of years, but Brock Lesnar's possible departure is now playing a big role as well.

With that being said and everyone predicting that Reigns will come out on top at WrestleMania, what can WWE do to make this match more interesting for the fans?

#5 Insert The Shield somehow

The Shield,
The Shield could raise the stakes for the match

The Shield was forced to go their seperate ways after Dean Ambrose suffered an arm injury and while the Lunatic fringe tried to compete injured, he ultimatley ended up having to take time off for surgery. While this fact has hurt the build of the match this time around, maybe WWE could use it to their advantage.

With that being said, WWE absolutely needs to involve The Shield in this match somehow to make things more personal. Not only will doing so add an extra wrinkle to the storyline between Reigns and Lesnar, it also sets up the opportunity for Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to stand ringside for the match.

WWE might be able to get the WWE Universe excited about Lesnar vs Reigns by making it aa extreme rules match and hinting at involvement from the other Shield members. In fact, WWE could even make it seem justified by having Lesnar try and attack Ambrose during the match, which will allow for The Shield to counteract with their signature powerbomb.

If nothing else, this will get the fans up on their feet and cheering, no matter who takes the decisive fall!

#4 Add multiple Superstars to the match

Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns,
Who could be added to the Universal Title match?

The WWE Universe is already demanding that a third superstar be added to the match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34 and while the move probably wouldn't change the outcome of the contest, it gives WWE a chance to up the unpredictability factor of the match.

In fact, if WWE were to do a match similar to that of the seven man Elimination Chamber match or like the fatal six way match for the WWE Title over on SmackDown Live, WWE could probably create enough reasonable doubt about Reigns winnng the title and make it a major box office draw.

In the end, if WWE were to add a few of the stars to the match, it would give fans more of a vested interest in the contest and maybe even make it that much more amazing when Reigns eventually wins. Of course someone will ultimately have to be pinned by Reigns to win the match, but that seems like an easy decision to make, with Lesnar's impending exit from WWE.

#3 'Loser leaves WWE' stipulation

Brock Lesnar,
Adding a stipulation is another great way to add excitement to the match!

Another way to add a level of predictability is to make the match have a lasting effect on the landscape of the company. One way to achieve this is to add a 'loser leaves WWE' stipulation to the match, which would be very convenient too, given the fact that many believe Lesnar is already on his way out to go to UFC.

In the end, this would be an amazing way to suspend the WWE Universe's disbelief, especially since it offers up the possibility of either Reigns or Lesnar leaving the company forever and also allows for WWE to once again blend storyline and reality in a perfect mix at the biggest stage of them all.

#2 Appearance by The Rock

The Rock,
The Rock would be a great choice for a special guest referee

Believe it or not, an appearance by The Rock could actually help Roman Reigns this time.

Sure, it absolutely backfired back on the road to WrestleMania 31, when The Rock returned to congratulate his cousin on his Royal Rumble victory, but that was mainly due to the way WWE treated Daniel Bryan during the Rumble match. With that being said and Bryan now permanently on the shelf, WWE would be smart to go back to this idea and implement it

For example, what if WWE put a biased referee in the match between Lesnar and Reigns like Paul Heyman? Not only would doing so be an interesting way to stack the odds against Reigns and create reasonable doubt about him winning, it also allows for a timely ref bump later in the match, which WWE can then use to allow The Rock to make the save.

Imagine The Rock's music hitting and him running down the ramp in order to count the pin and help his cousin win the Universal Title for the first time in his career. In the end, some Roman Reigns haters won't be happy with how this match plays out regardless, but this could still be a great way to get a positive reaction from some fans!

#1 Have Brock Lesnar threaten to walk out with the Title

Brock Lesnar,
Would fans like to see Lesnar walk out on WWE with the Universal Title?

If WWE is really intent on making Brock Lesnar the villain here, which seems to be the case with Roman Reigns's scathing promo on The Beast Incarnate on Raw, there is no better way to do that, than to have him threaten to walk out on the company with their biggest prize around his waist.

Not only would this put Roman Reigns in the position of being the protector of the WWE, it also allows for WWE to blend storyline and reality in the best way. Of course this might seem like a copy of the storyline that WWE did with CM Punk during the 'Summer of Punk', but Lesnar's rumoured departure for UFC creates an interesting wrinkle to the whole thing this time around.

In the end, WWE needs ways to make this match more appealing to a very fickle WWE Universe. Creating a situation where there are possible long lasting effects if Brock Lesnar were to win, could be the best way to do that. It might even be enough to get fans behind Reigns in a way that they never have before, especially if the future of WWE rests in his hands.
