5 ways WWE can utilize Shawn Michaels for good ratings

Stop the show, Showstopper!
Stop the show, Showstopper!

Shawn Michaels is a living legend, and his work was loved during the Attitude Era for his work, and even at WWE Crown Jewel fans were happy about the way he performed sweet chin music and the moonsault. The work was of top-notch, and it looked like he never left the company or even skipped a beat.

While DX won the match at WWE Crown Jewel, it is clear that the company wants Shawn Michaels to return to the ring as a part-time performer and just like his buddy and WWE COO Triple H he should also perform in some capacity at WWE's major shows.

While the fans and WWE Management wants to see 'The Showstopper' in the ring more than often, the fact that he doesn't feel the same way creates a hindrance for his return to the squared circle.

Mr Wrestlemania has been vocal about not returning to the ring since he was retired by The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26. He did break that statement by returning for a show in Saudi Arabia, and now that the fans are willing to see him, here are 5 ways the company can bring him to WWE TV, and make him an active member of the weekly shows.

#5 Make Him The General Manager

Shawn Michaels has been a General Manager in the past, and with the state of affairs in the GM's office right now we need someone that can run the business in a better manner. Shawn Michaels is Triple H's friend, and with 'The Game' out of action due to an injury, Mr Michaels could take hold of the flagship show and make it better.

While some may not be acceptable to the idea, the fact that he has created compelling television during the Attitude Era in the same role, this work would be a great way to keep him in office, and also boost ratings at the same time.

#4 Sheriff Shawn Michaels

Uphold the law!
Uphold the law!

If you remember there was a time when Stone Cold Steve Austin returned as the Sheriff and upheld the law, more than anything else in that role.

The company can try the same, and if the business works well it could turn into a position wherein Mr Michaels would take over the General Manager of Raw, and what he would say would be the final word. This could cause clashes between him and his best friend HHH or his wife Stephanie McMahon which would lead to a fight between their picked wrestlers, and the winner takes control of Raw.

While some may not be receptive of the idea, the fact that this will make us see DX break down for supremacy over the flagship show will definitely create compelling television and wonderful storyline for the fans, as well as raise more money for the company in the process.

#3 Advocate New Wrestlers

Showstopping Boss!

Shawn Michaels has been vocal about the kind of wrestling that is done these days, and he has also been clear about the wrestlers that are doing it the right way. With his constant encouragement to new wrestlers the performances have always risen to new heights, and we have seen not just the men but also the women outshine the competition to a level that is unprecedented.

After such a rise in the competition from the Attitude Era to the current PG Era, we may expect to see him praise a lot of wrestlers during his role as the General Manager of Raw, or even become a manager for someone so that he can elevate their careers with his legacy and the wrestler's performance.

This kind of a bond would be a 'Best for Business' decision, and we may see some great competition happening between those ropes.

#2 Feud with Finn Balor

A too Sweet Match!
A too Sweet Match!

Finn Balor is one of the most talented yet under-used wrestlers in the WWE. He works hard, is over with the fans and has some great moves in his arsenal. The work done by the owner of Balor Club is always of top-notch, and whether it is fighting his friend AJ Styles or someone else, he always does it well.

Shawn Michaels and Finn Balor have already discussed a possible match down the line, and while it may seem like a tough task, the fact that the same can happen if 'The Showstopper' returns to the ring one more time.

He outshined the competition at WWE Crown Jewel and performed Sweet Chin Music as well as the moonsault to perfection, so if he returns for a match with Finn Balor you can expect some good competition, and an entertained audience as the match draws to a close.

#1 Feud with AJ Styles

Phenomenal Show!
Phenomenal Show!

AJ Styles and Shawn Michaels are considered the most coveted performers in the world of professional wrestling. While 'The Phenomenal' performer has worked in multiple companies worldwide, 'The Showstopper' has been with the WWE since he started his major wrestling performance.

The fans had hoped for a performance of a lifetime between these two wrestlers, but they didn't clash as Shawn always denied an opportunity to perform inside the ring until Crown Jewel.

Mr Wrestlemania returned to in-ring competition after 8 years with his friend and WWE COO Triple H to revive the most phenomenal yet controversial tag team DX. The duo took down Brothers of Destruction at the event in Saudi Arabia, but this return by Shawn Michaels also gives us the opportunity to go after one of the most anticipated matches in the history of professional wrestling. This match will be loved by fans and wrestling journalists equally, and if the WWE really wants to improve ratings they must do the five things in this article.
