The match that deserves to be the main event.

You must be thinking that the only reason why hardcore fans want to see Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles main event Summerslam 2018 is that it's a dream rematch fans have been waiting for years to see, and now these men are at the height of professional wrestling it only makes sense.

Yeah that is the reason, but more than the fan's fantasy booking has come to fruition, these men are fighting for the WWE Championship, a title that has been the centerpiece of WWE's booking since its inception.

And the fact that the WWE Title has not been in the main event of a WWE pay-per-view in 2018 is just plain shocking.

So, by making this the main event of the show, WWE would benefit in multiple ways.

Firstly fans won't turn on another Roman Reigns match as mentioned earlier, secondly it will allow WWE to finally have a main event of the year candidate considering the level of talent involved and most importantly it will give the WWE Title a sense of validation it has been missing.
