5 women who would have been better additions to Paige's new stable

Paige made her return to Monday Night Raw this week after more than a year out of action and she decided that she wasn't returning alone.

Paige brought Tough Enough finalist Mandy Rose, and former MMA star Sonya Deville with her, as it seemed that WWE was setting up an NXT invasion of the main roster Women's Division. Many of the WWE Universe have taken to social media to complain that WWE made the wrong choice with the women they aligned with Paige ahead of this angle.

It seems that there were a number of better choices that WWE could have made that would have definitely turned a few heads.

#5 Liv Morgan and Aliyah

Liv Morgan and Aliyah each have more experience in the ring and on live TV than Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose combined. Not only that, but Aliyah, Liv Morgan and Paige are the three youngest female wrestlers in WWE right now, which could have allowed them to create a new stable that was all about a new generation of female wrestlers.

Morgan has gained a lot of momentum on NXT recently and almost qualified for the NXT Women's Championship match at NXT Takeover this past weekend, whilst Aliyah has been biding her time and waiting for an opportunity of this kind ever since she joined the NXT brand when she was just 19 years old.

Morgan, who previously dated Enzo Amore, was spotted backstage on RAW along with Ruby Riot, which goes to hint the possible plans WWE may have had for Paige's faction

This young group could have definitely brought a new dynamic to the Raw roster if WWE thought that their ages would play a big part in their storyline.

#4 Kay Lee Ray and Viper

WWE could have opted for a British Invasion

Paige has been representing England alone as a female wrestler for the past three years, but this would have been a fantastic time to bring in some more female wrestlers from the UK since WWE are attempting to push for a weekly UK Network show in the new year.

Kay Lee Ray and Viper, who is also called Piper Niven, were part of the Mae Young Classic in the summer, but were completely overlooked after their eliminations and haven't been used on NXT TV since.

If WWE wanted a real invasion of WWE then one where it saw three of the best female wrestlers to have come out of the UK over the past few decades descend on the main roster then this would have been a fantastic option.

#3 Abbey Laith and Candice LeRae

Many current female wrestlers in WWE didn't work in the business before they were signed to the company. Nia Jax, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Alicia Fox and Lana are all women who the company signed without any prior wrestling experience.

There are many females in the company who have done their time on the independent circuit and earned their contract with WWE, so they feel a little bitter that other women have been given opportunities without paying their dues.

Paige made her wrestling debut when she was 13 years old and worked for almost a decade on the circuit before she made her way to WWE, which is why she would be the perfect person to lead a stable of this kind. The likes of Candice LeRae and Abbey Laith who are currently down in NXT have also done their time on the circuit and would love for a chance to go up against the women who haven't and see who was the best once and for all.

This is perhaps not WWE's plan moving forward since Mandy Rose is another woman who had no prior experience before being signed to the company, but it would have made for a much more compelling storyline.

#2 Peyton Royce and Billie Kay

Peyton Royce was unsuccessful in her pursuit of the NXT Women's Championship at NXT Takeover: War Games this past weekend and it seems that The Iconic Duo don't have a storyline in NXT moving forward.

Peyton and Billie do work better as a duo but having the Inaugural NXT Women's Champion lead them to the main roster could have been a good route in for the two women. Peyton and Billie have been overlooked in NXT for a number of months now despite being one of the best parts of the show for a long time.

If Paige's group is revealed to be against all of the women who are in the spotlight right now when they don't deserve it, much like The Shield once were, then Billie and Peyton would have definitely been a better option from NXT.

#1 Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey

Shayna Baszler recently signed a contract with WWE after becoming the runner-up in the Mae Young Classic back in the summer and has been training at the Performance Centre ever since.

Former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey has also reportedly been training with WWE ahead of a match in the near future, but it seems that this would have been a great time for Ronda to make an impact on the main roster.

The Four Horsewomen of MMA have already been part of a number of exchanges with the women of WWE and since Sasha Banks and Bayley were both in the ring last night, it could have been the perfect time for them to make a statement.

This could have then built up to a match between the women, the match that has been rumoured for a while, whilst also allowing Ronda and Baszler to get used to the Monday Night Raw crowd before they officially stepped in the ring to compete.
