#3 Asuka could become WWE’s oldest women’s champion in 18 years

If Asuka defeats Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34, she will become the oldest female champion in WWE since 2018 Hall of Fame inductee Ivory won the Women’s Championship 18 years ago.
“The Empress of Tomorrow” is significantly older, 36, than many of her fellow Superstars on Raw and SmackDown, though you wouldn’t know it from the way she performs every week.
Ivory was 38 when she won the Women’s Championship in October 2000 during a Fatal 4-Way match involving Lita, Trish Stratus and Jacqueline on SmackDown. She went on to hold the title until April 2001, making her the oldest female champion of the 21st century.
Since then, the only ‘veteran’ who has come close to reaching Ivory’s record was Natalya, who won the SmackDown Women’s title at the age of 35 in 2017.
