Love him or hate him, Roman Reigns has been the top face of the WWE for some time now. Since the disbandment of The Shield in 2014, Reigns has received the biggest push out of all three and stepped into the ring with the who's who of the company.

Whether it's main-eventing WrestleMania thrice in a row or being a Grand Slam Champion in less than four years of making it to the main roster, there's no denying that WWE has chosen The Big Dog to be the next big thing in WWE.

Reigns has proved time and again that he's just not a pretty face and a favorite of Vince McMahon and co., but a talented workhorse who has put on several great matches with the elite of the business.

The Big Dog has headlined multiple PPVs and defeated some of the biggest names in the industry over the years. Here are five such superstars.

#5 Triple H

The seeds of the Triple H-Roman Reigns rivalry were planted when Reigns declined HHH's offer to join hands with The Authority.

Reigns was then booked to defend his WWE Championship in the Royal Rumble match which saw him getting eliminated by the eventual winner Triple H. After becoming the number 1 contender for the title, Reigns challenged The Game for a rematch at WrestleMania 32

A classic heel vs face rivalry saw Reigns standi tall at the end of Mania. Being an already accomplished wrestler, Triple H putting Roman Reigns over made complete sense, as the victory helped Reigns elevate to a much higher status.

#4 AJ Styles

After winning the WWE Championship for the third time at WrestleMania 32, Roman Reigns' first title defence came against AJ Styles at Payback 2016. Reigns and Styles faced each other twice in WWE, with Reigns coming out on top on both the occasions.

The Big Dog's match with Styles at Extreme Rules 2016 can be considered his best singles match ever. All those who detest him for his poor wrestling skills should watch tgis match, as the two raised the bar even higher from their showdown at Payback three weeks earlier.

A fan-favourite heel challenger, Styles put Reigns over twice as the two matches proved to be his best title defences, and set him up as the top babyface of the WWE.

#3 Daniel Bryan

Reigns won the 2015 Royal Rumble match and became the Number 1 contender for Brock Lesnar's WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The WWE Universe was not too pleased with the victory as his push never seemed organic.

To make him look like a more serious contender, WWE booked him to face off against the mega-popular Daniel Bryan, to see who would actually be in the upcoming Mania main event. The match at Fastlane saw two of the best workers collide against each other with the #1 contendership on the line.

This contest remains one of Reigns' best singles matches and saw The Big Dog counter-attacking Bryan's running knee into a spear and pinning him clean. The match was a huge success and made Reigns a serious threat for the World title.

#2 John Cena

After failing to capture the Universal Championship at SummerSlam, Reigns entered into a feud with John Cena. A rivalry between the top two babyfaces of WWE was long awaited and saw some of the best promos of the year.

In the weeks leading up to the match, the two didn't hold back and cut various shoot promos about the other's incompetence, much to the delight of the audience. At No Mercy, Reigns and Cena finally squared off in the ring with The Big Dog coming out on top. The win helped Reigns replace Cena as the lead babyface of the company.

Reigns' victory over Cena seemed like a passing of the torch or a changing of the guard moment. The two shook hands after the match showing mutual respect towards each other. Roman described it as the biggest win in his career and proved that he’s the current face of the WWE.

#1 The Undertaker

Reigns' most famous win came last year at WrestleMania 33 when he defeated The Undertaker. After eliminating Taker at Royal Rumble last year, Reigns confronted him the following night at RAW which led to a No Holds Barred match between the two at the grandest stage.

There's no doubt that this was Reigns' best performance as he carried The Deadman to a decent finish in his final match. Taker tried his best to take down Reigns but ended up on the losing end.

The win made Reigns only one of two wrestlers to defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Reigns' victory was not well received by the WWE Universe but made him the top guy of the company. Since then there's been no looking back as Reigns has successfully managed to become the present and the future of WWE.
