5 Wrestlers that should switch brands during the next WWE Draft

The next WWE Draft could be pivotal for quite a few wrestlers
The next WWE Draft could be pivotal for quite a few wrestlers

The current scenario in WWE is anything but good, with there being a clear overload of wrestlers on RAW and SmackDown seemingly lacking some key big players.

While that is happening, it also seems that some wrestlers have been unable to make an impact because of the crowded locker room or just seeming out of place.

The next WWE draft could provide a perfect opportunity to infuse some new energy and new storylines because right now, with the way things have been, the storylines have started to become a bit stale and something new is the need of the hour right now.

And for some superstars whose careers have almost started to dwindle, this could be the perfect opportunity to rekindle it and set it back on its course.

The following superstars should be looking to make a move at the next brand split:

#1 Finn Balor (SmackDown)

If you are talking about wrestlers being completely out of place then Finn Balor's name sticks out loud and clear. No one really knows what's the status quo for Finn Balor right now. Is he an upper mid-carder, a lower mid-carder or just a jobber to the big muscled dudes of Raw?

Finn Balor has just lost his identity among the big guys on Raw. He is a complete misfit because of which he's had to just job for them. His character hasn't developed and rather has stagnated.

The Demon King gimmick has been up in the air for so long that it's almost hard to understand. Moving to SmackDown could give Balor a welcomed fresh change as he could reform the "Balor Club" and subsequently have a chance to fight for gold, which he just hasn't done for far too long now.

#2 AJ Styles (Raw)

This would seem to be the next logical step for AJ Styles after carrying the Smackdown Roster on his shoulder for more than a year
This would seem to be the next logical step for AJ Styles after carrying the Smackdown Roster on his shoulder for more than a year

SmackDown is AJ Styles. For more than a year now AJ Styles has owned the "B" brand, performing day in and day out on the program and really making the brand his own. He also held the WWE title for more than a year and in his own words recently on SmackDown, "Never took a night off".

Now after losing the title and in most likelihood not being able to gain it back at TLC against Daniel Bryan, AJ has done all that needs to be done on SmackDown. It's about time he makes the natural progression and goes to Raw.

It would be a welcome change for Raw as well, and it would make it interesting for the fans as well to see who is pushed on Raw when AJ makes his way there to the land of giants.

#3 Bobby Roode (SmackDown)

Bobby Roode was a hit when he was in NXT. He ended up becoming the NXT Champion as well. He was brought to SmackDown with much hype, and he rode the wave to become the US Champion.

He subsequently lost the title to Randy Orton later on but he was able to establish himself very well among the other stars. But then he got drafted to Monday Night Raw.

When that happened it all started to go downhill for him. He was caught in the crowd and it seemed like the WWE management forgot about him completely.

When you have stars like Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Braun Strowman, and Drew McIntyre, that's a pretty long list of superstars who already occupy the spotlight.

And because of this Bobby has hardly had any storylines for him and has been just added to a tag team with Chad Gable. The tag team is sometimes on air and sometimes not.

Moving back to the more familiar lands of SmackDown could help Bobby be himself and really get more time on-air and maybe better feuds which would propel him up the card.

#4 Charlotte Flair (Raw)

Charlotte Flair-Ronda Rousey could be the next big rivalry on Raw

The beating that Charlotte Flair Handed to Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series did everything that it was intended to. It provided the shock value, it left an impact and more importantly, it left viewers wondering what was going to happen between these two women.

The build-up is perfect between the two women, and what is needed right now is to keep up the heat. When the time is finally right, WWE can move Charlotte to the Raw roster, where she can challenge Ronda Rousey for the title.

It would also be a welcome change because currently in the women's Raw Roster almost every wrestler has gone against Ronda and everyone has seemingly fallen short. Even Nia Jax was also not able to do much against Ronda in her title defense. The only woman who has got an upper hand on Ronda so far has been Charlotte, so this could tie into the storyline perfectly.

#5 Nia Jax (SmackDown)

If WWE plays their cards right, then this could turn into the blockbuster feud that really propels women's wrestling even further up the card.

Nia Jax has generated a ridiculous amount of heat, both from the fans and supposedly backstage, ever since she punched Becky Lynch in the face and put her out of Survivor Series.

The rumours are that people backstage are just not happy that Nia gets a push despite being a sloppy worker in the ring. Fans were livid because Nia injured their beloved Becky Lynch.

Becky Lynch is in the middle of a meteoric rise where she has slowly but steadily jumped many superstars to become "The Man" of the company, and this feud could be pitched as a David vs Goliath battle as Becky tries to avenge her injury caused in the hands of Nia.

With the heat Nia has generated, and the support that Becky Lynch garners, this feud has the potential to shoot through the roof.
