5 wrestlers WWE should re-sign in 2018

Bobby Lashley could make his way back to the WWE

WWE has recently made some great signings much to the fans' delight. EC3 and Drew McIntyre have come back and joined as a part of NXT. To maintain their image as the industry leaders, WWE is always on a lookout for more superstars to improve the overall wrestling scene. As a result, WWE will be busy on the free agent market to bring more talent into their frame.

WWE has consistently raided the independent scene over the last few years. Many superstars have made their name outside of WWE. The WWE Universe would love to have some of those big names back to the platform they started their careers on. WWE should not hesitate in capitalizing on the prospect of re-signing them.

Here are 5 such superstars who should come back to WWE this year.

#5 Kharma

Kharma
Kharma achieved popularity in her brief time with WWE

Kharma didn't have a great start in WWE. She was introduced as a behemoth of a wrestler who used to attack other female superstars, which continued for a few weeks. Her push was short lived as she was forced to take a maternity leave. From 2012-2016 she wrestled in TNA(now Impact Wrestling) and various other independent promotions.

She was very popular in her brief time with WWE a few years ago and did not get the chance to show what she could do. The fans would love to see some closure there, and she can really help the women's revolution as a veteran. Maybe we can also see a giant vs giant match between her and Nia Jax. Now that would be the first of something like this.

#4 Carlito

There were not many heels who could get over with the fans as easy as Carlito did. He was always the perfect fit for a mid-carder and held the United States, Intercontinental and Tag Team championship belts.

His comic timing, charisma, and solid in-ring work were the reason for his popularity in the WWE Universe. Carlito was released from WWE in 2010 due to a violation of the Wellness Program. Since leaving WWE, he has made a name for himself in World Wrestling Council, where he is a former 17-time WWC Universal Champion.

With the Shining Stars currently doing all of nothing in the company, Carlito would serve as the perfect mentor to bring them up through the Tag Team division. With the superstar shake-up coming soon, the trio can actually go to SmackDown Live as heels and feud with The New Day. Now that would be "cool".

#3 Evan Bourne

Evan Bourne joined WWE in 2007 and made his debut in ECW the following year. He quickly became a fan favorite, thanks to his babyface character and high-flying abilities. He even went on to win the WWE Tag Team Championship with Kofi Kingston. In 2012, he was suspended for violating WWE's wellness policy and was released two years later.

He continued his run in PWG and ROH and currently wrestles in Impact Wrestling under the name of Matt Sydal. He has a great in-ring presence and can bring the crowd to its feet with his aerial moves. WWE would love to have him again as he will be a great addition to NXT or can be a huge figure on 205 Live.

#2 John Morrison

The Prince of Parkour

John Morrison is a perfect blend of talent and personality. He joined WWE in 2002 as a cast member of Tough Enough and debuted as a tag team, with Joey Mercury, called MNM. His run included five Tag Team championships, the Intercontinental Championship, and the ECW World Championship.

He left WWE in 2011 and since then has become a major attraction for Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling.

One more run in WWE will be huge for both the parties. Morrison was already over with the fans, and his high-flying skills and improved mic work would be monumental in pushing his career to new highs and helping other younger talents.

#1 Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley has achieved success everywhere

Bobby Lashley joined WWE in 2004 and won the United States Championship soon after making his debut. He was Mr. McMahon's chosen one and was made the face of ECW. His Battle of the Billionaire’s angle at WrestleMania 23 against Umaga was supposed to be the turning point of his career but he could never rise to the expectations.

After being released in 2008, Lashley went on to become achieve colossal success in TNA(now Impact Wrestling). He even has a 15-2 record in MMA and is a drastically improved in-ring performer.

Lashley was released from Impact Wrestling in January 2018. There are rumors doing rounds that Lashley may have signed a contract with WWE. If it actually happens, we can't wait to see him in action against the likes of Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, and Braun Strowman. A powerhouse like him will be an immense crowd attraction.
