WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts spent the majority of his career carrying a snake to the ring. The following incident saw him and fellow WWE Superstar Randy Savage playing a prank with a WWE official on his birthday, with the help of Roberts' snake.

The referee was afraid of snakes, and Roberts told him that he would cure him of his fear on that night. The referee didn't want any of that but was forced into it when Savage came from behind and grabbed him.
“So I grab that snake and come at him and all of a sudden I hear ‘oh he bit me!’”
“’Oh my god he bit me in the eye’ and when the guy moves his hand there’s two fang marks on his eye and two on his cheek. And I’m just thinking ‘holy s**t,’,” said Roberts.

The WWE Hall of Famer later convinced the official that he was at fault
The WWE official later apologized for Roberts and explained that he didn't mean to "mess the snake's psyche up". The official was afraid that Vince McMahon wouldn't be happy at the idea of getting another snake trained to not bite folks.
