Layla was the 2006 Diva Search winner and given her background as a dancer, she was able to adapt well to life as a WWE superstar. Layla went on to become both Women's and Divas Champion and even helped Michelle McCool to unify the Women's and Divas Championships, which saw the retirement of the Women's Championship back in 2010.
Layla went on to hand her former teammate her retirement when she defeated her in a loser leaves WWE match back at Extreme Rules in 2011 and then the British star opted to quietly walk away from the company back in 2015.

Whilst working for WWE, Layla met her future husband, Richard Young who was known as Ricky Ortiz in ECW. Ortiz was signed by WWE back in 2006 and wrestled a number of times on the main roster in 2009 before he was released.
Following his release from WWE, he went on to work on the Independent Circuit and married Layla merely months after her release from WWE in November 2015.
