5 WWE Factions that need to happen in 2018

Factions never run out of fashion in wrestling. They have been formed right from the inception of pro-wrestling itself. A look at the current wrestling landscape will show you a variety of wrestling stables.

Association with a certain faction instantly adds importance to the wrestler, giving them a characteristic that the faction is known for.

When Braun Strowman was added to The Wyatt Family in the August of 2015, he was quickly associated with a grim personality, without any prior build.

With factions like the Bullet Club selling merchandise worth millions, there is no better time for a few factions to spice up WWE. With its rich and talented roster, the company has more than enough choices to pair up!

So here are 5 WWE factions that need to form in 2018!

#5 Ministry of Darkness 2.0

Aleister Black
Aleister Black

Possible Members

Aleister Black, The Ascension or War Machine, Goldust ( The Undertaker and Kane in special roles)

The new Ministry of Darkness will be the classic cult-like faction adjusted for the PG Era.

The Brothers of Destruction could pass on their legacy and intrigue through this faction. Aleister Black is already considered the 'Next Undertaker' by many fans and rightfully so.

This is because of his mysterious persona, incredible in-ring prowess and impressive striking abilities, all key characteristics of the Phenom.

The Undertaker could appear in a managerial role or as an adviser of the Ministry, passing the torch to Black without fighting him in a high stakes match, which would be beneficial for him considering the beaten state of his body.

Along with setting up Black for a push, this faction could also bring relevance back to the Ascension or be a perfect platform for War Machine to debut.

The inclusion of Goldust may surprise many but the man is a master of character and can still put on a great show in the ring. A darker persona of Goldust wearing a black and silver costume similar to Stardust would be perfect!

#4 The United Club

Possible Members

AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and new members Neville and Dolph Ziggler

This is the most predictable entry on this list. A WWE version of the Bullet Club will happen sooner or later.

The original four members will preserve the essence of The Club while the new additions will add WWE's flavour to it.

A returning Neville is almost a perfect fit for the Club. His heel work as the Cruiserweight champion was appreciated by fans and critics alike and he could carry this character to the United Club.

The inclusion of Dolph Ziggler could tie in with his current gimmick i.e. criticising the flashy way of WWE Superstars and ignoring the most key element of wrestling- Wrestling!

Ziggler could also do the promo work for the faction as the only other great talker in the faction is Karl Anderson.

This dominant faction could slowly dissolve into two factions under the leadership of Styles and Balor playing out a storyline similar to the conflicts within the Bullet Club between Team Kenny and Team Cody in NJPW.

#3 The Heyman Connection

Paul Heyman

Possible Members

Ronda Rousey, Shinsuke Nakamura, Asuka and Cesaro

This is a twisted take on what qualifies to be a faction. These superstars may not work together or help each other out as a typical faction, but they will all have a common connection between them i.e. Paul Heyman.

A man of superlative oratory skills whose words could mend a broken feud.

He could even sell Heath Slater vs a Pancake as the Main Event of WrestleMania!

That's the power of his promos which will help the aforementioned stars who are amazing wrestlers but lack the ability to deliver great promos.

With Brock Lesnar almost certain to leave WWE after WM 34, Heyman will be left with no role, and such a faction will help him and the wrestlers connected with him.

#2 The Broken Universe!

Possible members

'Broken' Matt Hardy, 'Brother Nero' Jeff Hardy, Queen Rebecca, King Maxell and 'Broken' Bray Wyatt (Along with Senor Benjamin, Vanguard-1 the Drone, Skarsgard the dilapidated boat)

The Broken gimmick is hot off The Ultimate Deletion Match on the March 19th edition of RAW. While most of the fans reacted positively, there were a few who detested the weird encounter.

The end of the match saw Bray Wyatt being tossed into the 'Lake of reincarnation' and fans have been speculating about the gimmick change that Wyatt needed desperately.

The most obvious answer would be a 'Broken' Bray Wyatt joining The Broken Universe resulting in a fresh and unique storyline for WWE.

#1 The Samoan Dynasty

Roman Reigns and the Usos
Roman Reigns and the Usos

Possible Members

Roman Reigns, The Usos, Samoa Joe, Sean Maluta and Nia Jax

The Samoan bloodline is a well-documented family of great wrestlers.

Superstars such as The Rock, Rikishi, Yokozuna etc. are all a part of this legendary Anoa'i heritage. A faction comprised of superstars of such calibre is a guaranteed success.

Roman Reigns could be a dominant heel champion after his victory over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34, The Usos could dominate the tag team division, Samoa Joe could battle for the secondary title (such as the Intercontinental or the US Title belt) and Nia Jax could dominate the Women's division as she already does.

Sean Maluta could be the young rookie who often takes the pinfall for the faction but is a key player nonetheless.

Samoa Joe (Though not of the Anoa'i blood) will be the black sheep of the stable who will eventually bring the downfall of the dynasty.
