WWE Hell in a Cell 2017: 5 things that must happen

Live and Exclusive on WWE Network.
It's time for all hell to break loose

Hell in A Cell is fast approaching and WWE looks to present a PPV filled with lots of action and brutal matches once again. The card for Sunday night looks solid with most of the feuds having proper builds.

WWE has done a good job of keeping the theme of the PPV intact by having two matches in the structure this year. Both these matches fit the brutal theme of the PPV, and unlike last year, the matches taking place inside the cell don't seem unnecessary.

Ahead of the big show on Sunday, here are five things that WWE needs to pull out of the hat to make it a success.

#5 Reveal the identities of Breezango's attackers

Will Breezango go undercover again to find the identity of their attackers?
Will Breezango go undercover again to find the identity of their attackers?

Breezango's performances have caught the eyes of the WWE Universe as of late, and their hilarious backstage segments have made them stand out in the tag team division.

However, the ongoing investigation regarding their mystery attackers has been stretched out for far too long and WWE should bring an end to this storyline at Hell in a Cell.

This storyline presents an opportunity to push Breezango further up the card, and a great feud with a new debuting\returning tag team can be an intriguing storyline.

#4 Clean win for Rusev

Rusev Machka.
Rusev Machka

WWE has dropped the ball with Rusev on a number of occasions, and the company has failed to optimally utilise the Bulgarian superstar. Rusev is one of the most entertaining and dominant wrestlers in WWE today, so his inconsistent booking is frustrating, to say the least.

Ever since his return from injury in July, Rusev has featured in feuds with John Cena and Randy Orton — two of the biggest superstars in WWE. The company inserting him into programs with two of its marquee superstars is a major indication that WWE wants to make Rusev a major player in the division.

Rusev lost in a mere seven seconds at Summerslam to Orton, which was an embarrassing moment for a superstar who once went over a year without getting pinned. The former United States Champion should come out on top at Hell in a Cell and a dominant victory against Orton followed by a championship feud should be the order of the day.

#3 A Proper US Championship match

Will the Lone Wolf defeat the Phenomenal One?
Will the Lone Wolf defeat the Phenomenal One?

AJ Styles has reinstated the US Title Open Challenge, but WWE has failed to recreate the magic of the original Open Challenge from Cena's reign. All the open challenge championship matches till now have ended in a no-contest due to outside interference.

Baron Corbin was supposedly being pushed down the ladder because of his backstage heat. However, a new theme song coupled with a strong feud with AJ Styles can rehab the Lone Wolf.

WWE needs to give this match a sufficient amount time at the PPV and let it play out for the fans instead of having another cheap finish due to outside shenanigans.

#2 Jinder Mahal winning without outside help

Please end the cowardly shtick WWE!
Please end the cowardly shtick WWE!

Jinder Mahal has stayed on top of Smackdown Live for over four months now and looks set to march forward as the champion for at least a couple of more months. The WWE Live tour in India is set to take place in December and WWE is sure to keep him as the champion until the tour at least.

Shinsuke Nakamura is a fantastic superstar and an exciting prospect but a WWE championship reign is still not due for the King of Strong Style. He is one of the best talents on the roster, and this isn't the right time to coronate the former NJPW standout.

Jinder Mahal has had the same matches over and over again ever since the Singh Brothers debuted on Smackdown Live. He needs to be given some credibility and his match against Nakamura should be something different from what the fans have seen before.

If the Modern Day Maharaja is going to remain the champion of the brand for any longer, he should be booked in dominant fashion.

#1 Leap of Faith

Is Shane gonna go crazy again?
Is Shane gonna go crazy again?

Shane McMahon is no stranger to high structures and is once again going to feature inside the Hell in a Cell. Shane is known to take jaw-dropping bumps throughout his career and on Sunday, expect no less of the Smackdown Commissioner.

However, Shane falling from the top of the structure will be pretty predictable and is a sight WWE fans saw just last year at Wrestlemania. WWE should utilize the other superstar in this match, Kevin Owens, to the fullest and have him do the unimaginable: take a leap of faith from the top of the demonic structure.

Owens is another guy known to take rough bumps during his indie career and has wrestled in many hardcore matches before in his career. A big spot from this match can make the Montreal native an overnight megastar and garner the mainstream attention that WWE so desperately craves.
