WWE had the attention of the whole wrestling fraternity when they announced a pay-per-view named Great Balls of Fire in 2017. The show happened in July, and it was a RAW exclusive show. Several marquee matches like Brock Lesnar vs Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt vs Seth Rollins and Sasha Banks vs Alexa Bliss featured on the match card.

The fans appreciated WWE for the show as there were many exciting moments. Unfortunately, the company did not conduct another edition of the PPV in the next two years, but they can bring it back after WrestleMania 36 and fill in the gap of Money in the Bank.

The reason WWE could pull off this move is that the name of the pay-per-view had sparked a controversy in 2017. Vince McMahon knows that to get more eyes on his product after WrestleMania, he will have to do something that grabs eyeballs, and the return of Great Balls of Fire could do just that.
