Many people have spoken about the potential return of KOTR for years and years now, and while it has returned every so often, nothing has really been able to compare to the initial idea. King of the Ring served as a great platform to boost a mid-carder into the upper echelons of WWE, and most importantly, it was a unique concept.

KOTR should be seen as an accolade that is up there alongside Money in the Bank victories because it gives the superstars that same kind of boost. Sure, it's not perfect, and sometimes you don't need to take the 'king' gimmick all too literally, but those are small issues in comparison to the benefits involved.
