The constant weak booking is hurting Bobby Lashley's gimmick
Although the infamous love triangle between Rusev, Lana, and Bobby Lashley got a lot of criticism from the WWE Universe, it gained a lot of viewership on the official YouTube channel of WWE. However, it did little to nothing to push any of the Superstars involved further up the roster.

Last week, Rusev was released as a part of the massive cost-cutting measure implemented by WWE in order to tackle the impact of COVID-19 on the financial aspect of the business. But Rusev and Lana are still in WWE, and it looks like the ‘Ravishing Russian’ will continue to be by the side of her love.
Lashley, who is billed as one of the strongest men in the entire WWE roster, is often booked in underwhelming storylines. Despite this, he has proved his potential time and again. All he needs is a good, engaging feud, and he can have that against Kevin Owens.

Lashley vs Owens can be a short-lived feud, but even a few encounters between them will help Lashley in more than one way. Firstly, it will help give more screen time to Lashley who can use it to remind the WWE Universe of his potential.
Secondly, it will help add more credibility to his dominance and eventually allow him to challenge for a World Title.
