Ever since Dean Ambrose returned the week before SummerSlam, rumors were spread all around that he would turn heel by betraying Seth Rollins. But Ambrose didn't turn heel, and instead The Shield reunited as baby faces.

Among the members of The Shield, Roman is the Universal Champion, Seth is the Intercontinental Champion, and Ambrose.... well, Ambrose is wrestling Jinder Mahal on Raw.

This has happened before. Rollins and Reigns have always been the focus of WWE Creative, while Ambrose gets overlooked. Aside mid 2016 when Ambrose won the WWE World Championship from Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank, Ambrose has always been below his Shield brethren on the card.

So if WWE wants to keep Ambrose on the same level as Reigns and Rollins, they need to do something special with The Lunatic Fringe. Something special like a heel turn.

I mean, just look at Ambrose. Does he not look like the most evil dude you have ever seen? He looks the part, we all know he can play the part. So WWE just needs to pull the trigger and let Ambrose stab Seth and Roman in the back. A heel Ambrose might just be the most entertaining character in WWE for a long long time.
