#3. Mojo Rawley left WWE earlier this year and has been in a film, but not a new promotion

Mojo Rawley was inactive in WWE for ten months before they released him in April this year. For those of you who are counting, that means that he's officially a free agent and is contractually free to wrestle elsewhere.

However, Rawley might not be in a rush to return to the ring anytime soon as he has a role in the upcoming GI Joe movie spin-off Snake Eyes and could very well be looking to pursue his acting further.

#2. The IIconics Billie Kay and Peyton Royce left WWE this year but surprisingly haven't been snapped up yet

Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee were the act that I think many people thought would be snapped up in an instant the moment they became available. Whilst that very might have happened behind the scenes, we're yet to see them make an appearance for another promotion.

The pair have indicated that they're going to stay together as a tag-team and they're going to continue wrestling, so fingers crossed they find a new home soon so they can continue to be as entertaining as they were together in WWE.

#1. Curtis Axel hasn't wrestled anywhere since leaving WWE in 2020

It's unclear whether Curtis Axel (Curt Hennig) has plans to continue wrestling following his departure from WWE last year. But if he does, he's certainly taking his time over returning.

It's a little odd to see a generational wrestlier like Hennig not turn up somewhere else quite swiftly after leaving WWE, especially somewhere like AEW that has often leaned into the prestige and history of professional wrestling.
