5 WWE returns that took place this week

#2. Former WWE Champion – Edge

Edge, one of the biggest draws in WWE, made a much-awaited comeback on the November 29 episode of RAW.

The Rated R Superstar was in a rivalry with Seth Rollins before taking time off. Upon his return, Edge was interrupted by The Miz. He got into a war of words as he blamed The Miz for John Morrison's recent release from WWE.

Looking at the setup, Edge will now indulge in a rivalry with The Miz. Both stars cut top-tier promos, and the buildup will be amazing. Who knows, this rivalry may culminate at WrestleMania 38 if Beth Phoenix, Edge's wife, gets involved too.

#1. Former WWE Universal Champion – Brock Lesnar

The Beast Incarnate instantly becomes the main event of any show he's on. On the SmackDown after Crown Jewel, Lesnar was indefinitely suspended by Adam Pearce due to ill conduct towards various WWE officials.

Thankfully, The Beast is now back.

On this week's WWE SmackDown, Brock Lesnar had his sights set on the Universal Championship before Sami Zayn, the #1 contender, interrupted him. Lesnar manipulated Zayn to use his title match on SmackDown itself.

Zayn easily lost to Roman Reigns thanks to The Beast who attacked The Conspiracy Theorist before the match even began.

The former Universal Champion is undoubtedly the biggest threat to Roman's Universal Championship reign. This rivalry can be the main event of WrestleMania 38.
