WWE now has some serious competition in the form of new promotion All Elite Wrestling.

Everyone loves a good rumor, right? Something to talk about with other people over a water cooler. In WWE, everything moves so fast. Not just the Superstars in the ring, but also all the latest news and rumors that reach the public every single day.

After the massive success of All Elite Wrestling's first PPV Double or Nothing, the company will need to up their game in the coming months.

With Money in the Bank behind us, the next main show will be Super ShowDown in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Here are five rumors from wrestling this week that you really need to know.

Note: Please remember that every rumor presented here is just that, a rumor, something to have fun with. Whilst some may seem more likely than others, please take all of them with a grain of salt.

#5 Road Dogg moved to WWE full-time

Road Dogg was recently inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of DX.
Road Dogg was recently inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of DX.

As a performer, 'Road Dogg' Jesse James may have one of the best minds in WWE today

With his career debating back to the 1980s, Road Dogg has worked for various promotions but is best known for his time in WWE as one half of the New Age Outlaws and a part of D-Generation X.

According to the PWInsider, Road Dogg has been moved permanently to a backstage role with NXT, after reportedly walking away from a role at SmackDown Live due to frustrations with Vince McMahon.

If true, the former Intercontinental Champion will now be working directly with Triple H, the COO and leader of NXT, who is also a good friend of James.

This may prove beneficial to everyone in the long-run, especially for Road Dogg.

#4 NXT Champion dealing with an injury

The last thing WWE needs is to have another NXT Champion go down due to injury.
The last thing WWE needs is to have another NXT Champion go down due to injury.

After the unfortunate injury of Tomasso Ciampa, a new NXT Champion needed to be crowned.

In an epic match, it was Johnny Gargano who emerged the victor, toppling long-time foe Adam Cole to win the vacant title. And though this was a huge win for Gargano, who is now the first-ever NXT Triple Crown Champion, it may not be long-lived.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Gargano is currently dealing with a knee injury. Though little else is known about the reported injury, this is definitely the opposite of what WWE wanted to happen, if true.

After capturing the vacant title following Ciampa's forfeiture, the last thing WWE needs is the title to be vacated once again, and for another of the developmental brand's top stars to be on the shelf.

#3 Who called whom?

Jon Moxley, formerly Dean Ambrose in WWE, made his AEW debut at Double or Nothing.
Jon Moxley, formerly Dean Ambrose in WWE, made his AEW debut at Double or Nothing.

Double or Nothing will be remembered for a lot of things, but one thing that the show may be best recalled for, is the appearance of Jon Moxley. The former Dean Ambrose, Moxley appeared after the Jericho Vs. Omega bout, attacking both men to a raucous ovation.

Moxley, who has signed with the new promotion, is expected to do big things as an AEW star, and may have been planning this for a while.

According to AEW's financier Tony Khan, the Lunatic Fringe contacted him about working for the company, not the other way around.

A lot has changed for Moxley, who earlier this year was holding the WWE's Intercontinental Title. Hopefully, his debut at Double or Nothing will put to rest the speculation that his departure from WWE is all a work.

#2 AJ Styles to take time off?

Former WWE Champion AJ Styles has a very relaxed schedule in the coming weeks.
Former WWE Champion AJ Styles has a very relaxed schedule in the coming weeks.

Over the past half a year or so, the contract of AJ Styles has been a hot-button issue.

Joining the WWE in January 2016 for three years, there was plenty of speculation on whether the Phenomenal One was going to stay, though he has re-signed.

However, the former WWE Champion isn't advertised for any WWE Live events over the next month, leading to speculation that Styles will be taking some time off.

The only event that Styles is signed for is the upcoming WWE Super ShowDown event, which will take place June 7, in Jeddah, and is the third pay per view in the decade-long deal between WWE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Hopefully, Styles will be back on our screens entertaining his millions of fans very soon.

#1 Sasha Banks story develops

The Boss reportedly gave a big hint about where her future in wrestling lies.
The Boss reportedly gave a big hint about where her future in wrestling lies.

Sasha Banks hasn't been seen on WWE TV since WrestleMania, but the Boss is still one of the most talked about Superstars by fans.

Shortly after WrestleMania, rumors emerged of Banks causing an incident backstage, reportedly threatening to quit the company unless changes were made about her booking.

Though plenty of people have denied the claims, it does seem off that Banks hasn't been on WWE in nearly two months, whilst her tag partner Bayley is the new SmackDown Women's Champion.

According to the PWInsider, Banks was spotted in New York last week, and it is reportedly because she is working on WWE's next video game.

This seemingly implies Banks will be staying with the company after all, though until she appears on TV again, nobody can say so for sure.
