5 WWE stars who could benefit from moving to 205 Live

Who's going to join the ranks?

Drake Maverick only took over the reins of 205 Live a few weeks ago and it seems that he has already begun to make a difference. The former TNA Superstar was exactly what the brand needed and his arrival already has sparked the arrival of a number of other stars on the roster as well, including Roderick Strong, Mark Andrews, and Buddy Murphy.

Maverick recently teased that he was looking at more additions to his brand in the coming weeks and he was looking all over SmackDown, Raw and NXT for these stars.

There are a number of wrestlers who could benefit from being moved over to the 205 Live brand for a while, here are just a few of them.

#5. Mike Kanellis

Ever since he made his debut on WWE TV almost a year ago, it seems that Kanellis has fallen out of favour with many officials backstage, but much like Buddy Murphy over the past few months, Mike has been putting in the time at the gym and recently showed off a new and improved physique on Instagram.

Mike is only a few pounds above the weight that is needed to be part of the Cruiserweight Division and it's easy to see him being able to drop the weight and join the brand in the near future if SmackDown Live have no future plans for him. It could be a great way for the former TNA star to kick-start his WWE career.

#4. Chad Gable

Chad Gable has been pushing towards the SmackDown Tag Team Championships over the past few months alongside Shelton Benjamin, but the duo isn't even part of the Championship match at Fastlane. This probably means they are probably out of the picture for a while now.

Gable is wasted as a tag team wrestler. The WWE Universe has seen what the Olympic wrestler can do when he's given a chance and many fans don't know that he is only 202lbs which means that he is already inside the weight limits of the brand. Drake Maverick needs to snap Gable up whilst he is stuck in transit on SmackDown Live.

#3. Tyler Breeze

When is WWE going to take Tyler Breeze seriously? He was once one of the most popular stars in the NXT before he was called up to the main roster and has since been wasted in satire promos alongside Fandango.

Breeze needs the opportunity to prove that he can wrestle. And given how 205 Live is about ability more than promos and character, this could be the perfect thing for Breeze to finally turn some heads.

Breeze is only seven pounds over the 205 limit, so it would be easy for someone like him to drop the weight and then be able to compete on a brand where he would once again be able to stand out.

#2. Johnny Gargano

Johnny Gargano recently lost his match against Andrade 'Cien' Almas where he had agreed to leave the brand if he lost the match. The former Tag Team Champion has recently finished his live event dates with the company but there hasn't been any official word on where Gargano is going to move to now.

The WWE Draft isn't for another few months, but it seems that Drake Maverick could easily slip in and offer Gargano a place on his brand. Considering Gargano was part of the Cruiserweight Classic a few years ago, he will easily qualify for a place on the roster. Gargano is a fantastic wrestler and could definitely light up the 205 Live Division if the company doesn't have any other plans for him moving forward.

#1. Ricochet

Ricochet's high flying exploits have followed him around throughout his career, with his matches against Will Ospreay becoming some of the stand-out matches of the last few years.

It seems that WWE has brought Ricochet to the company for a reason and at just 197lbs, he could easily be a new recruit for 205 Live. It's hard to see Ricochet being able to make the kind of impact he deserves on the NXT roster since his style is specifically engineered to fit in with what fans watch 205 Live for.

The brand needs someone to be the standout star in the coming months now that there is no Neville, Rich Swann or Enzo Amore. Ricochet could easily fill that void and show the WWE Universe exactly what they have been missing over the past few years.
