Even the Monster Among Men used to be a man

I'm sure a lot of our readers are also active Facebook/Instagram users. I'm also sure that they've seen glimpses of the 10-year challenge on their social media feeds. The challenge is a great way to gauge how different you used to look, a decade ago. It can be inspiring, fun and entertaining for all your friends.

A lot of WWE superstars participated in this challenge as well. So much so, that WWE even put up a video showcasing their transformations. I've included both WWE superstars and backstage personalities in this list.

Which of these superstars has transformed the most in your opinion, folks? Leave a comment and let me know.

Let's begin with the Monster Among Men.

#5 Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman is a regular guy when he's not portraying a Monster in the ring. His real name is Adam Scherr and he is your typical country boy. He hailed from the strongman world before he decided to step into the ring and become one of the most dominant figures in the history of RAW.

The hashtags in the picture indicate that Braun Strowman wasn't too big a fan of his former persona; before he became the 'Monster Among Men'. The biggest change, of course, is the beard. As big and tough as Braun Strowman is, I dare say that if you saw him in his former persona, you would not scramble for cover at all.

Braun Strowman grabbed the brass ring when it was presented to him and transformed himself into one of the main stars of RAW, becoming a simply superb worker for a man of his enormous size. I may be speaking far too soon, but Braun Strowman is a surefire contender to become Universal Champion in the year 2019.

#4 Cedric Alexander

205 Live was in a state of peril. The former Cruiserweight Champion, Enzo Amore, was released from the company when charges were levelled against him and the Cruiserweight division did not have a champion. A brand that was already not getting the requisite number of eyeballs had just lost its biggest draw.

And then, Cedric Alexander stepped up to the plate and carried the division on his back winning a tournament that culminated at WrestleMania. He would hold the Championship until Super Show-Down when he lost the title to Buddy Murphy in Australia. In the 181 days that he ruled the roost as Champion, Alexander proved to the world that he was a great representative for the Cruiserweight Division.

Here's a throwback picture of Alexander from the time he was involved in collegiate wrestling. Alexander looks just as smart and suave now as he did back then.

#3 Natalya

Natalya is one of those WWE superstars that always gets overlooked when talking about the greats. The fact of the matter is that she's lasted through different WWE eras and has always excelled in the ring whenever the bell rung. Here is a throwback picture of hers from ten years ago. One must admit that Natalya looked very different back then.

Natalya occupies a very important role in the company. She is a ring general and it is no surprise that she was in charge of teaching Ronda Rousey how to wrestle. I assume that as a senior member of the RAW locker room, she's also a source of guidance for the younger talent backstage.

When the Hart family is mentioned, Natalya does not immediately come to mind. But she has carved a legacy for herself in her own right and paved the path for women to follow in her footsteps.

A star, through and through!

#2 Renee Young

Renee Young has a classically beautiful face. She looked just as gorgeous back then as she does now. She has paved the path for women announcers by becoming the first ever female commentator to (wo)man the commentary booth, full time, on RAW.

Young has also played a character on screen, owing to the fact that her marriage with Dean Ambrose is a matter of public knowledge. She was involved in the storyline with Miz and Maryse and also always supports her husband in all his endeavours, even after he decided to go heel. And usually, she's always backing the babyfaces over the heels.

In the ten years that Renee Young took to become such an integral character of the RAW enterprise, she has created history and become the standout female backstage announcer/commentator for WWE in this era. She can look back at the throwback picture with pride.

#1 Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss has always been stunningly beautiful and absolutely gorgeous. What is ironic is that she called her throwback pictures her 'Goddess Outfit'. And now, she calls herself 'the Goddess of WWE'. Maybe Alexa Bliss could actually foretell the future and knew that she would be a WWE Superstar someday.

Bliss is currently on the shelf, recuperating, after being knocked out of commission in the ring. She has always been booked as one of the top Superstars in the RAW women's division and it will be interesting to see how she's booked when she does make her return. The division is a lot more crowded now than it was.

WWE prides itself on being a brand that's been around (and will be around) then, now and forever. Now you know how each of these Superstars looked ten years ago.

And now let's say a prayer to the Goddess to end this piece...all hail Little Miss Bliss!
