#4 Former WWE star Lio Rush

Lio Rush was one of several WWE stars who were released from the company back in April as part of the budget cuts following the COVID-19 pandemic. Rush had been sent back to NXT ahead of his departure and was able to reveal in an interview with Sportskeeda that his release came down to a miscommunication with Triple H.

The former WWE star also noted that he had butted heads with Triple H numerous times throughout his time in WWE and the two men disagreed on a number of things.

“I don’t know if it ended on good terms or not. I feel like me and Hunter clashed heads a lot, you know. We were always in a disagreement as far as what the plan was for me and how he saw me as a character or how he saw me as an asset to the brand. I feel like we were just always disagreeing all the time and it sucked because obviously I looked up to Triple H when I was a kid and stuff like that.
"It was weird to try and break that separation from being an admirer of his. But now at the same time, I’m an employee of his and he’s my boss. It was hard for me to separate the two and it was kind of disappointing everytime I had a conversation with him. The lack of communication leading up to the initial release was with Hunter. I was having some back and forth conversations with him, and then out of nowhere he just stopped. For weeks it just stopped. That’s how I knew that something was weird, something wasn’t right.”

Rush has recently been in the news because he could be teasing a move to WWE's rivals AEW to face Darby Allin for the TNT Championship after a comment he made on Twitter started many online rumors.
