#3 Former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman

Despite being the winner of many titles in WWE, Braun Strowman is somebody who the company has taken a lot of missteps with character-wise. WWE has tried a lot of different routes with Strowman.

Strowman's most recent character may have been one of the strangest directions that WWE has taken him. In the build-up to WrestleMania 37, Strowman was being dubbed as stupid by Shane McMahon.

Worse still, the bizarre train gimmick that WWE had previously started with the star was ramped up. This took an even stranger turn with the "choo choo" train sound effects that were added to his signature charge move.

In addition, some of his recent promos have seemed stilted. He has been repeating the line "get these hands" for years now, to the point that the catchphrase has lost whatever power it originally had.

Strowman has shown in the past that he is capable of being versatile in the ring. He appeared to be turning a corner during the summer 2020 storyline with The Fiend and Alexa Bliss but it soon came to a stop.

Given his stature, accolades and status as a past main-event star, WWE could easily give Braun Strowman more character to run with.

Hopefully, Braun Strowman will be repackaged in WWE soon, especially considering his involvement in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania BackLash.
