#2. Tommaso Ciampa Has Never Been in a Rumble Match

Tommaso Ciampa is yet to appear in a Royal Rumble match. He made his NXT debut on the December 2, 2015 episode in a match against Samoa Joe. He has been a part of NXT since, becoming one of the show’s most prominent figures.

He has seen fellow NXT roster mates such as Adam Cole, Keith Lee, Andrade Cien Almas and Johnny Gargano participate in the Rumble match but is yet to compete in the match himself.

The Blackheart had this to say about the Rumble when speaking to Sports Illustrated:

"I know people in WWE dream about wrestling at WrestleMania, but for me, it was always the Royal Rumble. The idea of seeing who would return, the surprise of who would debut, even watching what Edge did last year, that’s always been the Rumble has always meant a lot to me. There are so many people I’d love to have an opportunity to share the ring with. So if that opportunity knocks, I’m answering."

Given that The Blackheart recently worked a few dark matches as part of the main roster, we could yet see him as an entrant in the 2022 Men's Royal Rumble match.

#1. Shane McMahon Has Never Competed in the Royal Rumble Match

Shane McMahon has been a part of WWE since he was 15 years old. Although he did resign in 2009, he returned to the company in 2016 and occasionally works backstage roles or competes in matches.

His recent matches include his WrestleMania bout with The Undertaker, his SmackDown Tag-Team championship win with The Miz and his feud with Roman Reigns.

He did appear as an official in the 1988 Royal Rumble match. Shane also eliminated Shawn Michaels from the 2006 Rumble despite not being a participant in the match.

Shane O’Mac is no stranger to surprise returns, and so a 2022 or future Rumble return is always possible.
