Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio
Last year, WWE legend Rey Mysterio shared a throwback picture on his official Instagram handle, featuring a Triple Threat match he had against Eddie Guerrero and CM Punk in IWA Mid-South in 2002. Mysterio added that he had never imagined how the careers of all three Superstars would turn out after that night.
CM Punk noticed the post and shared a heartfelt message for both Eddie and Rey in the comment section. Punk had nothing but respectful words for the duo in his comment.
I miss Eddie, truly fortunate to have worked him as many times as I did. I feel the same about you Rey! Legends, who treated me like an equal, and I’ve never forgotten it. Viva la raza!
Eddie tragically passed away in late 2005, mere months before Punk made his way to WWE TV after a brief stint in Ohio Valley Wrestling. Punk would go on to become one of the biggest Superstars in WWE and have feuds with the likes of John Cena, Triple H, and Randy Orton.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
