After WCW folded in early 2001, Goldberg was among the stars who didn't go to WWE. He returned to the squared circle in August 2002, with a win over Satoshi Kojima in AJPW. Goldberg joined WWE in mid-2003 and put down The Rock in his first match for the company. This was the beginning of an incredibly dominant run for him on WWE RAW. He defeated several big names, and also held the World title for a short period. Goldberg lost the belt in a Triple Threat match at Armageddon 2003, and later kicked off a rivalry with Brock Lesnar.
Goldberg defeated The Beast at WrestleMania 20, following which both men left WWE. This winning streak had kicked off when WCW was still around, and Goldberg defeated Lex Luger on a WCW Live show in late 2000. Before this match, Goldberg had lost to Scott Steiner via TKO at Fall Brawl 2000. The streak lasted for over four years, over four different promotions (WCW, AJPW, Wrestle-1, and WWE). It could technically be stretched till 2017 in the record books, as there was a 12-year period between his two matches against Brock Lesnar where he didn't wrestle at all.

He completed his MBA from the Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management in 2016 and worked with multiple banking institutions, including Tech Mahindra. While he started writing WWE articles for Sportskeeda in 2019 as a hobby, it eventually became a significant part of his professional journey.
Abhilash checks his articles thrice before sending them to the editing team, ensuring his work is highly accurate and reliable.
He has interviewed prominent pro wrestling personalities like Noam Dar, Angry Miz Girl, Brendan Cobbina, and Jesse Lambert. Abhilash is a big fan of AEW star Orange Cassidy, as he believes the former International Champion’s on-screen gimmick of an extremely lazy guy resonates with him.
Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
When not reporting on pro wrestling, Abhilash likes to work out, go on walks, read, and explore new eateries.
