#2 The Ascension (Viktor and Konnor)
Widely hailed as one of the most dominating tag-teams in NXT history, The Ascension also struggled to find their footing on the main roster. The former NXT Tag-Team Champions were influential in setting the stage for tag-team divisions under Triple H's radar but failed to captivate any sort of momentum under Vince McMahon.
With Viktor and Konnor struggling to bring anything new to the table, they legitimately became jobbers and spent most of their in-ring time elevating other teams. Despite being a promising act on NXT, Vince never truly understood the faction's credibility and has never altered his decision on giving them a second chance.
While there's no denying that the creative team has struggled to bring any relevance to the tag-team division, The Ascension may never reach their maximum potential on the main roster. Since The Game was the one who significantly pushed The Ascension under his wing, it only seems that The Ascension may never truly ascend under Mr. McMahon.
