Tyson Kidd has now transitioned to a backstage role

During an episode of Raw in 2015, Tyson Kidd faced off Samoa Joe in a dark match. In the match, Kidd not only suffered a loss from the hands of Joe but also an injury that almost took his life away and ended his career.

During the finish of the match, Joe delivered his Musclebuster finisher on Kidd for the win, but the move didn't go as it was supposed and ended up in a botch. Due to Tyson's wrong landing after Joe's finisher, it was seen that he had suffered a legitimate injury.

After he was taken to the hospital, it was reported that he has suffered severe concussions in his neck, due to which he ended up with 16 staples, four screws, and a rod insert which was inserted into his neck to overcome the injury.

After this, Tyson reached out to his Twitter handle to tell that, only five percent of people can live through this type of injury. And coincidentally he was one of them.

Luckily, for him, he didn't end up in a wheelchair due to which he has now transitioned to a backstage role. And again he became one of those superstars who has defeated death.
