In January 2016, Tough Enough winner Josh Bredl (aka Bronson Matthews) risked the wrath of WWE’s main-roster Superstars when he referred to perennial losers the Social Outcasts (Heath Slater, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel and Adam Rose) as “social jobbers” on Twitter during an episode of Monday Night Raw.

The controversial tweet was widely criticised by many of WWE’s top stars at the time, including Cody Rhodes, who tweeted that Bredl can “enjoy dressing in the hall”.

Kevin Owens went one step further, tweeting: “Look at the veteran here with the big fancy insider terms!

“I blocked him. Felt great.”

Bredl continued to train at the Performance Center and remained a part of WWE’s developmental system for the next 18 months. However, after failing to make another televised appearance following his 2015 Tough Enough victory, he was released from his WWE contract in November 2017.
