Former 205 Live General Manager, Drake Maverick, was one of the main reasons why the fans liked the 24/7 Championship. His feud with R-Truth became one of the most talked-about rivalries in WWE, and the readiness of the two Superstars to blur the line between kayfabe and reality helped WWE gain massive appreciation from the audience.

Unfortunately, Maverick was drafted to SmackDown during the WWE Draft and as the Wildcard Rule ended, he could not go to the Red brand and challenge for the 24/7 Title. He was involved in a storyline with Dana Brooke and Elias, but the creative team did not extend that plot too much.

He was recently spotted backstage on SmackDown asking for an opportunity. Drew Gulak featured in that segment as well where he promised to down Daniel Bryan at Elimination Chamber.

Although Bryan has taken up the role of fighting the underrated stars, it is unlikely that WWE will continue that angle because WrestleMania 36 is approaching fast and they need to book the former WWE Champion in a high profile match.

Thus, the best opportunity WWE could give to Maverick is to have him host WrestleMania and welcome everyone at the start of the event just like Alexa Bliss did last year.
