While the Women’s Evolution has seen WWE’s female in-ring performers get more meaningful storylines and time to put together matches that fans can invest in, the company is also looking to create a new female commentary star of the future.

Renee Young did a good job as an announcer on NXT between 2013 and 2015 but she has since returned to her role as an interviewer, while Lita was a color commentator for the Mae Young Classic and Beth Phoenix will be at the announce desk for the upcoming Mixed Match Challenge.

Out of all the current female Superstars in WWE, nobody would be better suited to commentary than Paige. Granted, she has many years left as an in-ring competitor, but the Absolution leader is more comfortable on the mic than most in the women’s division and she impresses every time she joins Michael Cole & Co. on commentary.
