Asuka was victorious over almost every member of the NXT and Raw rosters during her two-and-a-half-year undefeated streak, so it’s only natural that she went one-on-one with Nia Jax during that time.
In the five singles matches that the two had against each other, it was “The Empress of Tomorrow” who prevailed on every occasion; twice in NXT and three times on the main roster.
Asuka successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Nia at TakeOver: The End in June 2016 and at a televised show in Osaka, Japan in December 2016, while she won via three different methods – forfeit, pinfall and submission – when they met three times earlier in 2018.
