Rusev is one of the most over stars in the WWE at the moment. He recently had a full-fledged babyface turn when Aiden English betrayed him. Till then was somewhat a tweener with the crowd cheering him at all the shows.

Rusev is one of the most talented big guys to come the WWE's way in history. He is agile, huge, strong, extremely talented and most of all, he is a believable monster, and he has proven this on multiple occasions.
He had an unbeaten record in the WWE till his first loss to John Cena and his career didn't take off as expected. He is still floundering in the mid-card currently in a feud with Aiden English who was the reason behind Rusev's connection with the fans.
Rusev did get an opportunity to face AJ Styles for the WWE title, but there was no big storyline behind the angle and was a one-time affair.
