To say that the ongoing Rusev-Lane angle has received a negative response from the WWE Universe is an understatement. Fans are widely criticizing this storyline which has Lana cheating on Rusev with Bobby Lashley.

In the last episode of Monday Night RAW we saw Lana explain her actions by saying that she cheated on Rusev because her husband only wants to put a baby in her belly (their words, not mine).
As much as the creatives are in favor of making this storyline a success, it is only making people feel really bad for Rusev. Maybe that’s what WWE intend to do but this feud is still going to leave the fans with a sour taste in their mouth.
Considering the fact that this storyline will continue to scar us for the upcoming weeks, a win for Rusev will be a silver lining. His spot in the WWE roster will automatically be elevated if he manages to win the match for Team Hogan.
Following that, he can return to the weekly shows and quickly put an end to the entire Lana-Lashley fiasco.
