During the match, Rollins powerbombed the Irishman onto the barricade outside the ring, inadvertently dislocating Balor's shoulder.

Popping it back in, Balor would somehow find a way to finish the match, beating the Architect to become the first Universal champion. His reign wouldn't last long sadly, as the Extraordinary Man would be forced to vacate the title the next night due to the injury.

Though his reign was short, the Demon made a believer out of many fans for being able to finish the match.
