Some wrestlers have really gained weight!

More often than not, you'll find that WWE Superstars and professional wrestlers, in general, are more or less in really good physical shape. And, you have to be in order to succeed in a business where your body is of utmost importance. You'll find that people like Kevin Owens are the exception rather than the rule.

But, all that hard work into maintaining a body can sometimes not seem worth it — especially after retirement. Why bother with a trying diet and workout regiment when you aren't even going to be wrestling anymore, right?

So, without any further ado, here is our list of 5 WWE superstars who got out of shape after retirement:

#5 Tazz

Not the greatest look for Tazz
No the greatest look for Tazz

Now, Tazz was never the kind of guy who packed on some serious muscle but, overall, he was in good shape during his wrestling days with ECW and the WWE. But then he shifted over to commentary and soon retired from in-ring action.

Since then the former Human Suplex Machine has ballooned in weight and while there was some improvement when he was a part of TNA, his body was nowhere near as good as it was in his prime. Even today he is quite out of shape as he hots his own podcast and radio show.

#4 The Iron Sheik

The Iron Sheik made a name for himself as one of the finest heels of his time, often clashing with the likes of Hulk Hogan and The Macho Man Randy Savage. He was the prototype for the overused foreign heel in wrestling and is a well-deserved Hall of Famer.

While he was never in the kind of shape Hogan used to be in, Shiek was always decently fit but not after retirement, though. He has put on a lot of weight in the years since his departure from full-time activity and, at the age of 75, it doesn't look like he's going to be improving anytime soon.

#3 Jake the Snake Roberts

Jake the Snake Roberts experienced one of the most tragic falls from grace of all-time when his battles with substance abuse got the better of him. It was a miracle he was still alive as drugs and alcohol consumed his life and he was forced into retirement. As his body deteriorated, his weight ballooned.

Luckily, The Snake has found peace through DDP Yoga and is looking much better today than he did in the intervening years of addiction.

#2 Sunny

Not a great transformation

Ahh, Sunny. The Original Diva. Once considered the most beautiful woman in all of professional wrestling, things sure have changed. Gone are the gorgeous body and perfect physique, and in its stead, we have an out of shape, bitter old woman.

Sunny now spends her days insulting wrestlers, male and female alike, while still trying to stay relevant by making allegations of affairs and sexual advances. Not the greatest reputation to have.

#1 Scott Hall

Luckily, Hall has his life back on track

Scott Hall used to be one of the most popular wrestlers in the world — both as Razor Ramon in the WWE and under his own name in WCW as a part of the NWO. Unfortunately, things would soon spiral out of control for one of the coolest men in wrestling.

Battling severe substance abuse issues, he put on a lot of weight and his life looked certain to end in tragedy until Diamon Dallas Page took him under his wing to give him a new lease on life.
