Staying the same certainly isn't a "way of life" any successful WWE Superstars live by, because without question, the bulk majority of WWE wrestlers are continuously changing their look and tweaking different aspects regarding their character to stay relevant and "with the times" in sports entertainment.

Complacency undoubtedly isn't a trait Vince McMahon tolerates in his top tier performers, hence why Superstars are always trying to better themselves and stand out from the rest of the pack. As many of you fans are aware, the slightest tweak can be the difference maker between a wrestler succeeding in the business versus flopping, and one recent example of this notion would have to be "The Modern Day Maharaja" Jinder Mahal.

Before attaining an absolutely shredded physique, Jinder Mahal was overlooked by WWE management to the point where Mahal was eventually released from the company. Jinder decided to take his career into his own hands, get into the best shape of his life, and then attempt to revitalize his career in WWE -- this led Mahal to the WWE World Championship. Today, we will take a look at 5 WWE wrestlers who look nothing like they did 5 years ago...

#5 Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin has certainly changed his overall look for the better in WWE...

For those of you unaware, "The Lone Wolf" Baron Corbin started off his career in sports on the football field, and before signing up with WWE's developmental, Corbin was much heavier and less defined than he is now -- not to mention having a much different hair style. The photograph above showcases what Corbin looked like approximately five years ago, and by all means, he's pretty unrecognizable compared to today.

When Corbin signed to WWE in 2012, it can be guaranteed that the developmental trainers requested Baron Corbin to lose a few pounds, because aesthetically speaking, Vince McMahon prefers his top stars to be in great shape -- McMahon loves big guys, but not often the out-of-shape (or husky) big guys... Despite their obvious differences, Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin are much alike, as they both started off in football (both much heavier too), and they have since transformed their look for the better.

#4 Sasha Banks

Sasha is proof that the right gimmick and a new look is what it takes to succeed in sports entertainment...

Sasha Banks has desired to be a WWE Superstar ever since the former multi-time Women's Champion can remember, and without a doubt, Banks has achieved her dream and then some. However, Sasha Banks certainly wasn't always the WWE's "Legit Boss" we have all come to know Sasha as being, because at one point in her career, Sasha was quite simply "Mercedes KV" (Sasha's real-life name is Mercedes).

While Sasha was talented in the ring even during her early career days, it's doubtful Banks' gimmick would've led her to success in WWE -- Vince is all about over-the-top and "larger than life" personas. However, thanks in part to Sasha's relation to Snoop Dogg who was always dubbed "Boss", Banks was able to create an intriguing persona that has since transcended Sasha to the top of sports entertainment. Sasha Banks may not exactly be where she wants to be positioned in WWE at the moment, but it can be assured that there are at the least a few more Women's Title reigns in Banks' future...

Back in the old days, Jason Jordan looked like a mix of High School Musical's Corbin Bleu and Carlito...

Jason Jordan definitely had a look "overhaul" a couple years ago compared to the first bit of time Jordan spent in WWE's developmental, and by all accounts, Jason's new look is a drastic improvement. As simple as it may seem, a haircut can undoubtedly make a huge difference in regards to a wrestler succeeding in WWE versus floundering, and Jason Jordan's short buzz-cut hair certainly looks more serious and main-event caliber worthy (not to mention getting rid of the facial hair).

It truly is a shame that a serious injury struck Jason at the worst possible time, as Jordan was beginning to find his footing in WWE as a future top tier heel on Monday Night Raw. Who knows if Vince would've given Jason Jordan a push to the Universal Championship scene had Jordan remained healthy this year, but 2019 was certainly looking like Jason's big breakout year. We can only hope that the WWE give Jason Jordan another chance in the ring once he's healthy enough (we have no timetable as to when that may happen...)

#2 Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch wasn't always the WWE's red-headed fiery "Irish Lass Kicker"...

Becky Lynch has always been regarded by fans as being one of the most underrated and underutilized women's wrestlers in WWE, but thankfully, "The Irish Lass Kicker" has been given the opportunity to once again succeed and thrive on SmackDown Live -- Becky certainly made the most out of her opportunity. Becky Lynch now ranks supreme on SD Live as the Women's Champion, and the Irishwoman's immense popularity doesn't look to be dying down anytime soon.

Becky Lynch is such a talented Superstar through and through, as not only is Lynch technically sound in the ring, but Becky also has a great persona as the WWE's red-headed "Becky Balboa" -- a wrestler who never gives up and keeps on fighting through any and all obstacles (a character we all love). However, Becky Lynch definitely wasn't always the redhead Irish Lass Kicker, because just five or so years ago, Lynch looked absolutely nothing like she does today -- the picture showcased above demonstrates just how much a wrestler's look can change in just five years.

#1 Jinder Mahal

Jinder Mahal has made one of the most dramatic transformations in sports entertainment history...

Without question, Jinder Mahal has made one of the most shocking and dramatic body transformations in WWE history -- one of the main reasons behind Mahal's sudden push on SmackDown Live last year. Prior to getting released from the WWE a few years back following 3MB's demise, Jinder Mahal was far from being in great shape. Things only proceeded to get worse once Mahal was gone from the WWE, and in various interviews since, Jinder stated that he had gotten into a "rut" and was in the worst shape of his life during that time away from WWE (the picture showcased above).

However, Jinder wouldn't let his negative situation get the better of him, and Mahal made a conscious effort to quit drinking all together, and also attempt to get into better shape. Fast forward two years, and Jinder Mahal is completely unrecognizable compared to before -- he truly looks like a beast. Jinder may not be your favorite Superstar, but it's impossible to discredit Mahal's perseverance to better himself and his body. "The Modern Day Maharaja" is now a former WWE and United States Champion partly due to his hard work in the gym.
