#1 Roman Reigns (or Dean Ambrose)

The Roman Reigns 'experiment', for all its shortcomings, has succeeded in one major way: It has had everyone talking about the Big Dog.
Finally capturing the Universal championship from Brock Lesnar at Summerslam, Reigns united with his Shield brothers Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins the next night on RAW, powerbombing the beloved Braun Strowman.

Unfortunately, WWE decided to turn Strowman, who has become naturally beloved by the fans heel, aligning him with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.
It does seem like a more sensible idea to finally turn Reigns heel, though perhaps WWE was worried that turning him, would mean they'd have to turn all 3 of their top faces to the dark side.
Since they faces, the question is, how will the group split?
In my opinion, as long as Seth doesn't betray them again, it's all fine. Seth needs to have someone turn on him (much like Triple H did in 2016) to confirm his babyface status. Roman seems the obvious choice, but a turn from the Lunatic Fringe could definitely have its merit.
