#1 Dean Ambrose

If there's one thing that Dean Ambrose's promo on The October 1 edition of Monday Night Raw proved, it's that Ambrose has a Steve Austin type essence with the crowd. The WWE Universe even repeatedly chanted what as Dean Ambrose walked down all the possibilities of his future with The Shield, and he had the fans up in arms from the beginning.
With that in mind, and how over with the crowd Ambrose is already, wouldn't it make sense to turn him into the top guy instead? While Ambrose might not have the look Vince McMahon typically wants in a top superstar, he more than makes up for it with his lunatic persona, his abilities in the ring, and his red hot microphone work.

If nothing else, Ambrose is the real total package that WWE is looking for in a top guy, and it is absolutely criminal that they haven't come to that conclusion yet.
Not only is that evident by the way Ambrose's opening promo on Raw last week had the crowd coming unglued, but also by how WWE is able to make the fans care about him to such an outlandish extent.
In the end, this is a powerful combination, and WWE needs to capitalise on it!
