Lita was forced to miss 17 months due to injury.

Though women are main eventing WrestleMania 35 this year, during the Attitude Era, females were seen as little more than sex objects.

Through the sea of sleazy, under-developed women though, was Lita: a confidence tattooed Superstar who broke the mold, and was highly entertaining.

And though you'd think her worst injury would occur in the ring, it was instead during the taping for James Cameron produced show 'Dark Angel'.

During a stunt in 2002, the future Hall of Famer hit her patented Litacanrana on a stunt double, who unfortunately dropped the Women's Champion, causing Lita to land on her neck.

With three cracks in her Vertebrae, Lita would have to go extensive surgery, which saw her C-5 and C-6 vertebrae fused together.

It would be 17 months before Lita returned to the ring, teaming with Trish Stratus at Unforgiven 2003.
