The year-long journey of Becky Lynch will be acknowledged as one of the all-time great rises to the top in hindsight. Even now, to think that Becky Lynch went from WrestleMania pre-show to main event in the span of one year is absolutely mind-boggling.
It was clear that for the year that she was there, WWE planned to build the women's division on RAW around Ronda Rousey, while they were doing the same for Charlotte Flair on SmackDown.
Flair was always the most pushed woman, but Becky Lynch took the ball and ran with it, so much so that Vince McMahon could not deny her the main event spot at WrestleMania. And just like that, she became the #1 woman in WWE, where she currently resides as the double champion of both RAW and SmackDown.
While she's obviously going to lose one title sooner than later, it's truly a testament to how much she proved herself to Vince McMahon.
