The career trajectory of Finn Balor has been on the downside ever since the Irishman relinquished the Universal Championship just 24 hours after being its inaugural holder. After having a brilliant run as the NXT Champion, the leader of the Balor Club was drafted to RAW in the 2016 Brand Extension Draft and was immediately pushed to the top.

But an injury suffered at the hands of Seth Rollins ended that push and Balor was forced to relinquish the Universal Championship on RAW after SummerSlam 2016. Balor returned to action at the RAW after WrestleMania 33 but sadly hasn't been able to grab the brass ring. In spite of being one of the most consistent performers in the red brand, Balor has been put in one ridiculous feud after another which has severely hampered his chances of becoming a world champion in the company.

The ongoing civil between the Bullet Club is the perfect place for Fergal Devitt to re-debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling. The founding leader of the stable has been overlooked for far too long in the WWE and NJPW will be more than happy to acquire the services of the Irishman as they look to the biggest competitor to the WWE. Balor can also win the only major title that has eluded so far in his Carrer, the IWGP Heavyweight Championship if he decides to part ways with the WWE.
