5 WWE Superstars who would benefit from joining Titus Worldwide

Titus O'Neil poses with his clients

From his days as a Prime Time Player to his short-lived run as one half of Slater Gator, Titus O’Neil has always been entertaining but never had a gimmick that consistently connected with the WWE audience.

However, since the creation of Titus Worldwide, the former Tag Team Champion has had more meaningful storylines and is in a position now where he can elevate other Superstars on the roster who haven’t been given much of a chance.

Look at Apollo Crews, his first client, who has had increased TV time since aligning with O’Neil after April’s Superstar Shake-up. Or Akira Tozawa, whose storyline as part of Titus Worldwide helped him win the Cruiserweight Championship.

With Titus seemingly always on the lookout for new clients, who else could follow in the footsteps of Crews and Tozawa? In this article, we look at five possible candidates who we could see shouting "WORLDWIDE" into our TV screens next.

#1 Cedric Alexander

Would you like to see Cedric Alexander in Titus Worldwide?

Granted, Titus already has a cruiserweight in his ranks with Tozawa, but why not add another? Cedric Alexander can put on the best match on the card but, unless you’re a die-hard Cedric fan, few people are likely to care about it.

An entertainer inside the ring, Alexander hasn’t shown enough intensity outside the ring during his promo segments to make casual fans want to know the outcome of his matches.

As Enzo Amore has so bluntly pointed out recently, Cedric lacks charisma, which is why an alignment with Titus, who can talk the talk outside the ring while his client walks the walk inside the ring, would work perfectly.

#2 Curt Hawkins

Curt Hawkins has lost over 100 matches in a row

Even though Akira Tozawa won the Cruiserweight Championship, albeit briefly, Titus’ clients often lose. Tozawa gets the odd win here and there but was ultimately defeated by Neville in his biggest feud to date. Apollo Crews has had a lot more TV time since being aligned with Titus but, again, often finds himself losing to Elias.

The whole concept of Titus managing different Superstars at once without them teaming up to be in a makeshift tag team is refreshing. If he recruits Curt Hawkins, in a bid to help him overcome his losing streak of over 100 matches, we could see the differing fortunes of Titus’ clients every week and eventually it could lead to a feud between two of them.

A long build towards Hawkins ending his run of losses against Crews - the man who he last defeated before the losing streak began - would make sense.

#3 No Way Jose

No Way Jose debuted on NXT in 2016

No Way Jose was a character who, in my opinion, seemed doomed to fail. I expected him to have an underwhelming spell in NXT before being released after a couple of years. I certainly never thought we’d see him on the main roster or in WWE video games.

However, I’m happy to have been proven wrong! The man from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic is included in the latest WWE 2K18 game and has a gimmick ready-made for the main roster. His promos are believable and the quality of his matches get better and better.

It’d be nice to see Jose have more meaningful storylines in NXT. But if that doesn’t happen, he could do worse than answer a call from Titus O’Neil.

#4 Dana Brooke

Dana Broo
Dana Brooke has been on the main roster since May 2016

This is not a knock on Dana Brooke, as the chances are she may admit the same herself, but her call-up from NXT came too early in her career and at a time when WWE was jam-packing the roster with Superstars ahead of the 2016 brand split.

Since then, her realignment with Emma on the main roster was short-lived due to the Australian suffering an injury, while she played the role of Charlotte Flair’s protégé well but, for obvious reasons, was always going to be overshadowed by one of the best female performers WWE has ever seen.

It was teased a few months ago that Dana could join Titus Worldwide. Whether WWE picks that storyline up again is uncertain, but it would represent a good chance for her to break out of the shadow of other Superstars in her division.

#5 Darren Young

Can Titus make Darren Young great again?

Time and time again in WWE history, we’ve seen best friends and/or family members feud and come back together: Shawn Michaels and Triple H; Matt and Jeff Hardy; Shane and Vince McMahon; Titus O’Neil and… Darren Young?

Since rejoining the main roster in 2012, Darren’s best moments have come with Titus as one half of the Prime Time Players. He’s recently returned to the ring following his elbow surgery and needs a new storyline to get back on TV.

So, why not join Titus Worldwide? Young and O’Neil have fallen out and gotten back together as many times as Big Show has turned face and heel in the last few years, so don’t put it past WWE to reunite the duo for the third time.
