But this article is not about these titles. This article is about those titles that have gone obscure even before they were recognised in mainstream wrestling. They existed a long time back and vanished away a long time ago as well.

1.The Martial Arts Heavyweight Championship
Martial arts is a fascinating part of combat sports and it has come into the mainstream conscious heavily in the past few years with the success of UFC. There once was a Martial Arts Heavyweight Championship. And Antonio Inoki held it for almost a decade. He seldom competed and defended the title in America.
So, on those rare occasions, most of the matches were held at Madison Square Garden. These matches were known for being shoots rather than pre-determined as expected. The victory was attained by pinfall, submission or knockouts.
It was let go in 1985.
