Every year in WWE, many superstars make quite an impression for themselves. While the rest of the roster in the locker room thrives to achieve the similar limelight, a few of them outshine the remaining and goes on to make a big name for themselves. It is through their hard work and passion that they achieve the status that other fighter's dream of obtaining.

The impression can be generated via various means like to turn heel, face turn, feuds, championship victories, dominance, Royal Rumble victories and other sorts. For example, Rey Mysterio won the Royal Rumble in 2006 and the Heavyweight Championship later in WrestleMania, thus made him the most talked about WWE superstar in that year. Similarly, in 2014 Brock Lesnar defeated and conquered the Undertaker's undefeated streak at WrestleMania and carved his name in WWE history as the guy who broke the streak.

In 2018 also, there will also be many such WWE wrestlers who can make an impact for themselves and will generate a remarkable stature about him or her. Here are five such wrestlers who have the potential to do the same.

#5 Elias

Elias can be a bigger star in 2018 than he is at present

It was only a couple of days ago when Elias was seen just as a regular competitor in the WWE, who was hated by the crowd owing to his negative persona. He used to carry the guitar and sing songs with the intention to demean the crowd of the city where RAW was taking place. But fate seemed to have changed for this superstar.

In the beginning of this year, he started a feud with John Cena. He then defeated Matt Hardy to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match. Later in a triple threat competition on RAW against Cena and Braun Strowman, he defeated this two greatest wrestlers in WWE today to become the last entrant in the chamber match. This will give him the advantage to capitalize on his fellow competitors in that match as they will be exhausted when he enters fresh and thus can win the match and the Universal title.

It seems that Elias is getting the much-needed push from the management to be depicted as the next big thing in WWE. 2018 is certainly the year that can bring a change of luck for Elias.

#4 Finn Balor

Balor did not have the ideal start in 2018, as he failed to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match. However, that won't hinder his path of becoming the biggest star from WWE in 2018. He can compete for the Tag Team Championships with his two partners Luke Gallows or Karl Anderson. Balor is also the first ever Universal Champion. However, he did not receive a one-on-one title shot for the same after the title changed hands. He technically never lost the title as he succumbed to injury and vacated the title.

Now that he is back and is in his proper form, it will be very tempting to see him as the Universal Champion in 2018. Balor can also feud with Braun Strowman, Brock Lesnar and all other top wrestlers in WWE this year. Balor is likely to have a good run in 2018 and it will create more members worldwide for the 'Balor Club'.

#3 Kevin Owens

2018 can very well be the year for KO
2018 can very well be the year for Owens

From winning the NXT Championship and the United States as well as the Universal Championship, things so far have gone absolutely right for the Canadian brawler. He has made an outstanding name for himself in 2017, but it won't be surprising if he continues the same spotlight in 2018 as well.

His friendship with Sami Zayn has gained him a lot of negative popularity. It won't be a shocker if he goes on to win the WWE Championship. This year he can also crown himself as the Intercontinental or even the Tag Team Champions as he had not received any shot for this two historic titles. If he continues the momentum, he is having at present, it would be very likely to see Kevin as the number one superstar in either of the WWE shows.

#2 Shinsuke Nakamura

Nakamura has already made it big for himself ever since he joined the WWE. Ever since he joined SmackDown, he has strengthened his huge fan following. He won the 2018 Royal Rumble and thus earned himself a WWE Championship opportunity at WrestleMania.

However, his best is yet to come and it can come very well in this year itself. He can win the WWE gold at WrestleMania and project himself as the ultimate champion that can alter the viewership and TRP of SmackDown. It won't be surprising if he feuds with the likes of Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns and others later this year in RAW. His rock-star-like entrance will surely attract more fan following for him this year and years to come. For Shinsuke, this is just the beginning of good times as the creative team of WWE has very well decided to give him all the matches and Championship pursuits that will turn him into a brand.

#1 Braun Strowman

Strowman is undoubtedly the most dominant superstar that WWE has at present. Strowman was undefeated in WWE for a considerable amount of time. No wrestler dares to stand up to this monster. He has probably grounded every superstar in the locker room.

Ever since he parted away from Wyatt's family, he has been unstoppable. He demolished the likes of the Big Show, Brock Lesnar, Kane and other big names. However, he has not been able to grab any World Championship. Strowman has the potential and the ability to win that tit;e. In 2018, he can continue his sheer dominance upon his fellow colleagues and if he wins the Universal title, he will perhaps be the most brutal and the dominating force to have ever stepped foot in professional wrestling. 2018 is definitely going to give him sky-high success.
